I setup my rear pinion angles to be a few degrees below the tcase. This way, under load, the normal spring wrap doesn't tilt the pinion too far up and bust the ujoint. Hope this helps!!! I love your content! Keep it up and good luck on the trails!
I can't say I have ever seen a scissor shackle like that. Typically the chevy shackle will lay flat against the frame and not hanging 90* down. then it will unload and go straight down at 90* as the diff drops. that way your lower shackle will still act normal until the diff drops out enough for the 2nd shackle to begin to fall. they work quite well until they dont. When the all of a sudden it recoils and lifts the chev shackle back up and unloads that corner, causing a flop. (Ask me how i know lol)
I just replaced my eLocker actuator. OEM Toyota $700 CAD delivered from PartSouq to Calgary. Better price then even the Aisin branded from Vancouver. Can't believe this is how it was supposed to operate new. Pretty close to the price they charge for the cable conversion. Ordered Thursday evening and arrived on Tuesday. My eLocker still kinda worked but when I pulled it off the aluminum housing had corroded completely through. Nice pocket where salt and dirt collects. New one has anti-seize on the mating surface and fluid film everywhere else.
Fancy formula for the shackle angle. We just used the handy dandy eye-crometer for my 63s.
Ah yes, the eye-crometer! I used mine for the final say as well ;)
@@ToyotaWorldRunners Same here! 😅

What state are you located in? The background trees/grass/rocks/sky looks beautiful!

The state of Canada!
i felt your pain at the end when you said "it didn't work." lol
"Your reward for good work- MORE WORK" lol
Matthew needs a raised welding table.
Nice work!
Maybe one day! When I have my own shop.

It's great when they work well! I only paid 250 bucks for the cable system, which if I can get it to work, will be a good deal!
@@ToyotaWorldRunners Hope it works! Maybe see you on the island sometime when we visit!
I looked into chilkat designs cable conversion for my Toyota e lockers. What company is your’s from?
The Chilkat one is cool, I like that is uses the gear instead of the plunger. This is some MacGyver setup I think, not someone's actual product.
Lmao , this tag is hilarious
Great vid but definitely pick some different music.
Thanks! Can't please everyone lol.
@@ToyotaWorldRunners The music was good :)
