They fixed the script with this one. The last one was a bit out there but this time Yukari's feelings on the matter is on point. The loss of a loved one is different for everyone to cope. Just like a mother who would gladly exchange her life to have the chance to save their dead children is the kind of feel I get this time.

Aw man Reload didn't keep the peeling. Like sure, Reload kinda ditches the surreal horror atmosphere of P3's anime cutscenes entirely and the new version goes more for character emotion, but I think the old one still works better. The emotional character reaction from Aigis as she's reminded of his passing again is expected, it makes sense but it is very simple mood wise. The old one meanwhile is haunting, disturbing, makes the whole aspect of mortality and death show its gruesome side in a surreal and quiet manner. We're all flesh automatons powered by neural transmitters, and yet that whole creates a person who leaves an impact in one's life. Call me a boomer, but I prefer the old way more.
I literally predicted they'd change "that" cutscene to him exploding into butterflies with a friend the other day. Why can't we just have raw turmoil in our Persona 3 anymore smh
Damn they really downgraded the MC becoming the seal cutscene. The original was both haunting and impactful this is just an overwhelming meh. The revamped and new music is great but they did the cutscenes dirty.

No cutscene or anything for the most impactful part of the story? The ps2 ver had an entire anime cs dedicated to this. This remake of ep aigis is a joke
I really like that they didn't peel him off This cutscene had a different vipe than the original This cutscene felt like makoto was there and wanted to stop them before hurting themselves fighting Erubos and he disappeared a the blue butterfly that symbolizes the spiritual guide went forward before it disappeared Its like he was the shadow
it’s so tame and pathetic compared to the original. Rather than makoto just disappearing into butterflies, symbolizing the their want for him back, the original’s peeling of the ideas away from him was such an interesting way to visualize loss, as if the words fading into the atmosphere were all they had left. While the reload version focuses on the goal, the FES version focuses on the pain and shock of loosing a loved one, which is far more impactful when they all face each other. Such a let down, but it’s kinda what I expect from modern Altus.
Metis's line delivery at 18:20 compared to P3FES is so bad imo. Im not sure if they removed her bitchy attitude throughout the whole DLC but it's a shame if they did.
Y'know I don't know why but i liked Metis explanation in the previous version. Maybe because there was more emotion in it? Edit: in that one she sounded aggravated by the teams ignorance despite using persona themselves here she's calm
That's exactly what it is. They can't handle the idea of an M-Rated Game having M-Rated elements. So what do they do? Censor and water down everything. I'm laughably amazed this game even HAS an M Rating still.
@@Jdogjaden0 emotion? Ok now I know you didn't pay attention. Especially with Junpei and Yukari, they've put in more emotion than anyone did in the original. Koromaru pouting isn't the whole game. Also $35 for essentially a whole seperate game is fair
I truly thought and wished that that they would change “The Answer’s” story to fit the main themes of the main story. Its still makes me deeply upset that they had to digress Yukari’s and Mitsuru’s character so low for plot fodder.
Then you completely missed the point of the Answer in both stances, it fits the main theme perfectly fine, The answer was always about how grief affect those left behind and that they should move on, the main story mostly embraces Memento mori, while The answer embrace Memento viveri, the full phrase was always Memento mori, memento vivere, remember you will die, remember to live, meaning you shouldn't stop enjoying life because you will die one day AND when someone close to you dies, and it was only 1 month after, even if they lost someone before, it's not gonna stop hurting when it happens again, they were even more upset because they didn't know why he died, thus, the regret, thinking it could be preventable
They gotta appeal to the Persona 5 fans, after all. "We can't scare our modern audience or we'll get cancelled, so we gotta turn our M-Rated Game into a PG Game!"
The fact you and went and complained on most of the comments yet never played the Remake itself kinda shows how much a hypocrite you are, in order to prove me wrong explain about 10 to 15 new things the Remake added. No searching up, just do it rn.
@@FluppietheRockruffFan I can tell you what the Remake REMOVED, especially from Episode Aigis: 1. Yukari's scene. She was meant to showcase just how DESPERATE she was to go back in time to see MC again, to the point of even trying to snatch the keys from Aigis even AFTER she lost. Her and Mitsuru's characters got watered down and sanitized to the point that the emotional impact of the scene is gone. 2. Shadow MC's death was gory, sure, but that's how it was meant to be. It was meant to not just show what it means to actually did, but it also shows HOW Makoto slowly became the Great Seal, and hammer it in to SEES that he's dead and gone. The gore is meant to show them how scary death is without trying to sugarcoat it. By having him disappear into just butterflies, it takes away from the scene and makes it GENERIC. 3. The cutscenes. While they may look better than the original, what it lacks in terms of animation is fluidity. The characters all seem stiff, with more focus being put on how they look rather than how they ACT. Even in the main story, the fact they couldn't re-animate Shinjiro's death by hand, and instead had to use the in-game engine says a lot about their lack of faith in their animation team. But of course, a tourist like you wants to think that they've got the upper hand, so let me prove you wrong. Most of the additions to the remake can easily be summed up as "from Persona 5": - Online Network to help give the best possible answer - Theurgy is the Showtime equivalent for Persona 3 - The original Social Link System, while flawed, actually gave the player consequences for screwing up and didn't have a rewind mechanic where they can go back in time to redo it. - Removal of the fatigue system, which forced players to think about how they want to manage their in-game time. - Removal of the Swim Club, Kendo Club, Photography Club, and Music Club. - Level 99 not making stats 999 anymore, which back then showed to the player that their efforts to reach that level brought great rewards. - The random floor generation for Tartarus doesn't happen every floor anymore. This was meant to show how unpredictable the dungeon can be in-lore, by having it continuously shifting, even if you were going down a floor and making it a consequence for the player if they did not explore the entirety of the previous layout of the floor. - The voice cast. They're all okay, EXCEPT for Akihiko's English voice. That was not the right choice, and it doesn't even sound close to how Akihiko sounds in the original, nor is it a good way of adapting it. With it not matching Liam O'Brien's performance, it lacks the emotional depth it could've had. Another VA I feel did NOT do so good would be Yukari's new VA, who is MASSIVELY toned down from the original one, and again, watered down and sanitized, to the point that they're not even the same character in Episode Aigis. The original Yukari was meant to showcase how desperate someone can and is willing to get while trying to process grief. Yukari's attitude in the original was justified given the losses she'd suffered. And Episode Aigis has NONE of that emotion. Yukari is meant to be flawed, she saw the one person who was by her side after her father passed away, she saw him die, and wanted the chance to see him again, just so she doesn't have to feel the agony of loss and pain again. By over-correcting what shouldn't have been a problem, the Remake practically made Yukari far more generic than she should be. - Scripted Events in boss fights. Nobody likes dealing huge damage, only for most of it to mean nothing because a certain scene has to happen in said boss fight, especially for anyone trying to do New Game+. - The lack of Margaret. Having her as a secret boss fight would not only be a good way to kick down players who think they've had the game beat after defeating Elizabeth, but it would also be a showcase of what's to come if they try out Persona 4 Golden. Margaret's inclusion is meant to link both games together, and even show that while time may pass in the real world, it ever so slightly crawls within in the Velvet Room, and that the Velvet Room works with its own rules. - Plumes of Dusk being removed. They were meant to serve as a special item that are meant to be used only in emergencies for Beginner and Easy difficulty. And even in higher difficulties, you only get one from Elizabeth, because of how important it is. By having only one Plume of Dusk, it raises the stakes for the player because they only have the ONE revival item that they can only use once, so they should not allow themselves the chance to lose in a fight and waste it away.

They fixed the script with this one. The last one was a bit out there but this time Yukari's feelings on the matter is on point. The loss of a loved one is different for everyone to cope. Just like a mother who would gladly exchange her life to have the chance to save their dead children is the kind of feel I get this time.
such a shame they didn’t do the original cutscene
This is another reason why I prefer playing Persona 3 Fes to Reload. The original Persona was much scarier and more brutal. Just when the false main character disappears, the old version was much more violent and brutal than the new one. There he broke up in a brutal way, unlike here. Also, the old openings are much better than the new ones. Burn My Dread fits Persona 3 much better than the new one.
It's funny how this game claims to be M-Rated, but then it doesn't even have the guts to do what the original did, instead censoring it till its PG, so that the babies that came from Persona 5 don't get scared and crap their diapers lmfao.
I remember watching the OG Walkthrough of Persona 3 The answer this looks exactly the same
I can smell a shitty joke.

You can’t be serious. Many people in this comment section complain about that too.
Why do none of them recognize Makoto
4:29 makoto got some fast ahh walking speed or she got some slow ahh running speed… or both.
I came here to see the creepy peel of Minato and they made it a sad instead of creepy tone. Dang it, I had such high hopes lmao
Why ? Why did they change the scene when he phased out of existence-_- what is the point the ps2 scene was way better.
ITS SOULLESS PEEL THIS MAN RIGHT NOW
Yukari loves Makoto!! That’s for sure, she was willing to go back to the past to save him, that’s what I call loyalty
Because unfortunately we gotta deal with tourists who want things to be PG in an M-Rated game.
😴
Months later and the only thing I see on the comments are APOLOGISTS!
imagine if Labrys from P4A/U would come then replacing Aragaki in there
They dont have balls for doing peel scene again 😂
I enjoyed this version as well 👍
Peeling mod when?
Damn they really downgraded the MC becoming the seal cutscene. The original was both haunting and impactful this is just an overwhelming meh. The revamped and new music is great but they did the cutscenes dirty.
....god it wasnt the peel version, kinda sad since i feel that really represent the who atmosphere better but the animation really improved and is hella good, i just wished they kept it tbh...but again this also feels..more right? idk ahahaha but he really did well..we'll miss this dude fr
Shadow MC I didn't see that coming.
At least he didnt get fuckinh flayed this time
The death its sadder now
Anyone getting a persona 4 last izanami dungeon vibe from this music!?
No cutscene or anything for the most impactful part of the story? The ps2 ver had an entire anime cs dedicated to this. This remake of ep aigis is a joke
They tamed his skeleton and instead showed aigis trying to reach boss mc 😢😢 kinda sad in away.
tsk tsk, the original was far more jarring and left one hell of an impression
with the post fight cutscene.
Deym, the shooting their head with the special gun is not so impactfull anymore, unlike in the OG.
I really like that they didn't peel him off
This cutscene had a different vipe than the original
This cutscene felt like makoto was there and wanted to stop them before hurting themselves fighting Erubos and he disappeared a the blue butterfly that symbolizes the spiritual guide went forward before it disappeared
Its like he was the shadow
He doesn't spin the gun in battle after all. Lame..
Only when he switches Personas like in the Journey
it’s so tame and pathetic compared to the original.
16:46 bro wtf is this? This is not what happened.
Well... that's fast af.😅 first day of release and you already clear the game.
Metis's line delivery at 18:20 compared to P3FES is so bad imo. Im not sure if they removed her bitchy attitude throughout the whole DLC but it's a shame if they did.
this game the past for p3 fes story the answer well makoto dead again
Y'know I don't know why but i liked Metis explanation in the previous version. Maybe because there was more emotion in it?
Edit: in that one she sounded aggravated by the teams ignorance despite using persona themselves here she's calm
Guess they thought having the peel scene was too much for modern day people. rip.
That's exactly what it is. They can't handle the idea of an M-Rated Game having M-Rated elements. So what do they do? Censor and water down everything. I'm laughably amazed this game even HAS an M Rating still.
Watching this cuz I got beat bozo turn 1
Kinda sad that the og shadow makoto getting depleted it was one of the most disturbing scenes, and seeing it axed is disappointing.

@@Jdogjaden0 emotion? Ok now I know you didn't pay attention. Especially with Junpei and Yukari, they've put in more emotion than anyone did in the original. Koromaru pouting isn't the whole game. Also $35 for essentially a whole seperate game is fair
35$ 🥲
wat do u mean by this?
Omg, is DOOR KUN
they really need to stop with this Kiddy level of difficulty.
It's literally fit the theme of death, grief and moving on. Wtf are you even on about?

The fact you and went and complained on most of the comments yet never played the Remake itself kinda shows how much a hypocrite you are, in order to prove me wrong explain about 10 to 15 new things the Remake added. No searching up, just do it rn.
@@FluppietheRockruffFan I can tell you what the Remake REMOVED, especially from Episode Aigis:
Most of the additions to the remake can easily be summed up as "from Persona 5":
- Online Network to help give the best possible answer
- Theurgy is the Showtime equivalent for Persona 3
- The original Social Link System, while flawed, actually gave the player consequences for screwing up and didn't have a rewind mechanic where they can go back in time to redo it.
Ayo, Atlus got their potato peeler revoked :v
