Well worth the early alarms, a cracking set of images there. The location looks amazing too, cant quite beat a silver birch woodland with a clear woodland floor like that.
Great video Stuart and great images. That soft light filtering through was lovely. It's always nice when the mist plays ball as it can be so fickle. Cheers.
Great images Stuart! What an incredible woodland location. Seems like the last couple of times you've visited here - you've come away with some masterpieces! Keep up the good work and great videos. Cheers!
lovely images Stuart and a nice early autumnal feel coming across with the colours. Good to see your perseverance paying some dividends for you and as you said, the chase that keeps motivating us to go back out
I think you can safely say that it was most definitely worth the 3.30am alarm call for that shoot! Some amazing conditions, eventually and you captured the best of it with real aplomb. Some cracking images and I particularly like two of them a lot.
You've discovered a little gem of a location there, Stuart. Beautiful images and definitely done justice to the conditions and your early start rewarded. Many thanks for sharing again 😊😊
I can’t claim all the credit for finding it as Mark LJ kindly pointed me in this direction (though not the exact spot) it’s a small area but full of potential, cheers for watching 👍
Found your channel yesterday and just now getting to know you. Love the mist. I was fortunate enough last September to schedule a 9 am visit to Monet’s garden in France. The weather was clear when we left Paris but as we approached the gardens I saw the fog had formed off the Seine. I don’t think the others shared my enthusiasm. Great shots in all directions.
Enjoyed this Stuart. I've lost count of the times I've driven though thick clag to get to another location only to come up empty handed. Glad you got your reward at this cracking location. Doubt you'll ever beat the hoar frost images you took here but I'm betting you'll be back there when the bracken turns. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed this, my local wood never seems to let the mist penetrate it when we get some. Spider webs always good for making interesting photos. Nice one.
Absolute gem of a location Stuart. Feel your pain with the mist always seeming to be better just a few meters away... its almost like it's trying to to avoid you🙂
Lovely pictures Stu. I don't know how you tear yourself away from the photography to film and do bits to camera. I'm fully occupied just making photos and trying not to trip up..... Hats off to you.
Well anticipated Stuart, all too easy to chase around and get nothing, sometimes far better to watch what’s going on and try and get in front as you did, beautiful finishes images too as always. Hope you’re well ?
Another great video Stuart. I always learn something, thank you for sharing these. You are definitely one of my favorite RUclips photographers. Look forward to the next one. Best Regards.
Hey Stuart, another great video - thanks very much for sharing. I preferred the composition with the twig poking out (more balanced in my POV) and removing it in post is totally acceptable. :)
Thanks Torsten, I don’t mind either though it was easier to process this one for the video, I have the other frames also which I’ll process at some point
I am not a pro photographer but I take my hobby fairly seriously and I love your channel. I also know my way around a computer. Just for the crack. I might start up a YT photography channel just to see how to manipulate the poxy algorithm.
Perseverance paid off in the end mate really like the images and they way they are processed also liked the drone footage at 6:25 , that was a lovely scene.Sure we will see more from this location as the year goes on. Hope your well, take care .
@StuartMcGlennon aye, maybe better to eke it out to twice in 30secs? Hope you enjoy weekend at Centre Parcs, btw, brilliant place for some high quality family time.
@StuartMcGlennon here's a good scottish word for you to eke into your next video, 'dreich' (pronounce dreech, means wet, miserable). Sums up weather today in St Andrews! Look forward to hearing you describe weather as dreich in your next vid! 🤣
Usual fabulous standard of photos, Stuart. Great work.
Thanks Paul 👍

Lovely images Stuart. Autumn in the Lakes is amazing. Can’t wait to get back there again this year.
Very nice and looks like the autumn colours are coming along on time this year 😊 Great to see you didn't missed the mist. 😊😊😊
Cheers Simon yep just in time I think as the weather is a bit unsettled for a while now

Never thought I'd actually like the look of a cobweb. I normally want to get the flamethrower out!
Haha me too!

By eke! I enjoyed that video mate 🙂 Lovely misty woodland images, and the cobwebs gave them that little bit extra too!!
Cheers mate, those are the only two times I’ve said ‘eke’ in 20 years lol
Stunning that last one Stuart, the light on the cobwebs look like jewels
Thanks Ian
Love it, you're just showing off now
Haha cheers mate
So so waiting patiently for these colours to start appearing , like most photographers, autumn has to be the best..........
Won’t be long 🤞

Well balanced shots. I liked the video.
Lovely stuff mate, you’ve got a right little birch playground there. Definitely worth putting the effort in getting to know that place better
Thanks mate yeah it’s a lovely corner though Littlejohn will probably be charging me a toll for it now 🤣

Cheers Mike, with great difficulty in a nutshell! Probs had 20-30mins there and the last thing I wanted to do was video it lol
Some nice images! Thanks for taking me along!
Thanks Randy

Lovely shots Stuart, you deserve a break when you get up at daft a'clock. Keep them rolling.

Thanks mate yeah I’ll have to head back when it’s all turned though I suspect it’ll be earlier this year there was quite a bit of yellow already
Another good video Stuart, 'eke' is a great word by the way! 😀
