I don't expect anyone to relate to this with how I describe this, but this song changed my life. I was in a very depressed point in my life when i first heard it and I was hanging out with two very close friends of mine. We ended up taking some LSD together that night, about 2,000 mics each (we were all very experienced trippers at this point during college and had a legitimate supply so i knew for a fact that each hit had 100 micrograms) and as our minds started to melt through the evening, one of my friends put this song on. It was my anchor point for that whole experience that kept me in reality. We all vibed to this song and it felt like we were the ones making the sounds change in it, as if we had control over what we were hearing somehow. I dont know how to really explain the feeling, but every time i listen to this sing i can almost feel that same connection i had with those two amazing human beings and i just feel... content.

That's why as a musician, an artist like grizzly bear can appreciate an artist like diplo, broadening the style of music amongst listeners. Just a decade ago a lot of bands refuted Nirvana's entrace into the mainstream calling them sellouts or whatever, when in reality they where playing amazing music, making amazing art and touching millions of fans for generations to come, if anything other grunge bands in the 90's should've thanked them for making a legacy for grunge. I'm not saying Diplo is a mainstream sellout, I'm saying his style of music (which is really popular at the moment) has a lot of listerners that are especially on the web listening to his sampled songs.(of course which always a good thing for both artist/and music in general) The remora fish and the shark.
