Hand drawn Buddha and Bodhisatvas by the much revered and Venerable Grand Abbot Chang Yun, revealed to the public for the first time. The story behind how these drawings finally came to be uniquely replicated decades passing by a female Japanese artist who persistantly resisted replication for years to honor the code of artistic creativity is both spiritually moving and inspiring. The artist one day had a spontaneous surreal moment that forever changed her perspectives of those drawings which she originally thought were insulting for true artists to replicate. Replication, to her profession, contraindicates the very essence of art, which is creativity. But while gazing at the original works pinned on the wall one day, every strokes, lines, and colors came alive and in an instant, revealed to her of the drawer's deep convictions, intentions, and reverence for the three holy representatives as drawn by Grand Abbot Chang Yun. She was so moved in that instant she later volunteered to professionally replicate the drawings to do the original drawings justice. Some of the attentions to details and thoughtfulness of the final replications include but are not limited to: The drawings of the Buddha and Bodhisatvas are exquisitely represented and printed on limited editions of imported cloth, backed by hand made papers to show deep reverence. The blue hue selected is of darker flat shade, not glossy, to evoke groundedness and sincerity when one gazes upon the figures. The warm egg yellow incites welcoming, not harsh, glow of light to cast away darkness. The lotus below is finely detailed to support the holiness feet to symbolize purity rising above muck and mud. The written inscriptions and seedwords, although small, can be clearly distinguished and read. The differentiating lines and colors are concise and not marred in anyway, which would be the case if mass produced and printed. The font type and gold inlays of the Buddha/ Bodisatva name is individually put onto its own blue cloth covered tube containers separated by folds of cardboard to prevent bruising. Each scroll is thoughtfully rolled from the bottoms up so that during the reveal, the top/head is exposed first. The tubular lip where the cap goes over, is not left white and unfinished. It is thoughtfully detailed in blue cloth to ensure a complete finish. The scrolls are also respectfully secured individually, not by cheap rubber bands, but with a thin virgin wood paper that covers most of the length of the scroll to minimize curling at the two ends. The result is that we the public gets a rare glimpse of the depiction of the Three Holiness, conveyed to us in drawings from the perspective of a much respected and devout Buddhist practitioner Venerable Abbot Chang Yun. May all who gaze upon the depictions of the Three Holy Representatives be reminded of their respective vows and keep that close to our hearts and not let our own Bodhisatva heart fall asleep.

昨天(2020/10/24)去臺南市楠西區萬佛寺參拜! 世樺目前還有懺公的西方三聖圖,但已剩不多!
是也 會把心境留在畫上。有次有人傳賴一古代某位書法家冩的祭侄文。我一點開還未仔細看內容 就哭了。感受到他當時在寫時悲傷的心情
