Probably cause they knew that in a way you were about to kill them. Like hp lovecraft's azathoth that dreams the universe into existence. When the great dreamer awakes the dream ends....destroying the universe. You basically told your dream character that you're about to destroy their world. That's how I view it.
if i get lucid i automatically say im dreaming or my mind just tells me that otherwise you wouldnt be lucid. so if youre lucid you always know youre dreaming

Yup! Everytime I become lucid, it’s near dream characters. One time I became aware of my dream infront of my family and they immediately stared at me with wide eyes. I immediately ran out the house and flew away.
Solution: 1. Don't tell them you are dreaming or its a dream 2. Spawn a chain saw and kill them 3. Give them a death stare 4. Burn down their face or RUN 5. GTA 4 confirmed.
Perhaps the 1st one is the only one I can't relate to. I hardly if not ever say It's a dream to dream characters. I had incidences where dream characters have told me it's a dream, but very rarely the other way around. It's similar to how I'm uncomfortable harming anyone even though I'm lucid. 0:25 i once had a dream at school and i told my freind i was dreaming and he just stared at me and didnt talk for the whole day until on the bus he said " what did you mean by 'we're in a dream'?". The only one time a character in my dream knew they weren’t real and told me they knew. I didn’t tell them that they just figured it out. I don’t know if this is normal behavior for a dream character, but they just got really hostile and tried to keep me there so I wouldn’t wake up and they would be alone. Or maybe they were afraid of dying? But by the end of the dream I managed to get them to calm down and realize it was okay but as soon as they did I woke up.

I once told a dream character who i just happened to bump into, and we started walking and talking down a road, and i said to him "I know it's just a dream", and he was quick to change the subject and suggested we go for something to eat. That was my second and last time when i was lucid. The first time which much earlier than that, i decided i wanted to visit London, so i levitated into the sky and flew there.
It really depends. If you're taking it seriously each time you do them, doing them very frequently, and really questioning reality every time, then it might not be too long (if you're lucky, days, or a few weeks). If on the other hand you're not doing them very often or neglecting to take them seriously then they're a very spotty method that only give rare results.

A lot of times whenever I realize I'm lucid dreaming, I'll wake up (but still dreaming) so that I don't believe I can mess with my dream. Also, signs that I'm lucid dreaming stop appearing. Third thing, random things will try to kill me- a zombie apocalypse will start suddenly, or some creepy character from a movie will try to kill me

thank you! but there was one thing I've been wondering. Lately I wake up anywhere from 2-5 hours after falling asleep. I know 3 hrs and 4.5 hrs after sleep would put me REM, but even if I dont wake up at any of those times, when I fall asleep (after waking up of course) I still find I go right into a dream. Last night when I had my LD I had only slept 2 hrs (which probably explains why when I woke up it'd only been like 10 mins), but I guess I'm just trying to say that I'm having a hard time understanding when I'm in REM. And simply remembering the dream I was in last doesnt always help :I

I had the one where they deat stared me a couple times. The first time i got too spooked and i woke up... The second time i told them all to "fuck off" and they went back to normal lol. That was so funny i started laughing and then just the people i recognized just stared at me and the background people just kept walking.
The only lucid dream i have had i kept having false awakenings i would wake up in bed get up have a shower even chat to my family before work every time i would notice something wasn't right i would wake up in bed it kept repeating get up shower etc noticed something else odd it would happen again. This went on what felt like a life time it was only 6 hours in the real world but in that dream felt like 6 years i was aware of every second and everytime i thought it was over and i was awake but no it went on and on. I don’t think I would call it a death stare. It also doesn’t happen every time, either. Last night I experienced my first dream inquiry, like the one Robert Waggoner describes in his first book. The dream characters (there were 3 of them) never verbally spoke to me and when I became Lucid they became more curious about me and I heard a question pop into my head. “How did learn to do this?” I thought they meant flying so I answered, “by Lucid dreaming.” I don’t think it was the right answer because they immediately got up to leave. Regardless, except for the whole speaking to me with their minds thing, it was a fairly straight forward interview.
So I've recently been wondering about learning while asleep, but it seems all scientific research points to that you can't. What if you listen to whatever you want to learn, get lucid, then remember your dream later? Also, I had one lucid dream a long time ago and it was pretty short. I keep doing reality checks and stuff but I just keep not having any. I don't remember my dreams about half the time, and that makes me wonder: if you practice something in a lucid dream, then forget the dream, does your practicing have an affect?
A year later but still... Yes, even if we don't remember our dreams, even if they're abstract, somehow, we learn, that's why we dream. But to remember your dreams you have to write all of them in a dream journal to remember more and more.
I did tell the people that they were a part of my dream. And I was very sad. So were they. I didnt want them to go because they were nice to me. Some were even my family in real life. 1. Don't tell them you are dreaming or its a dream
2. Spawn a chain saw and kill them
3. Give them a death stare
4. Burn down their face or RUN

Perhaps the 1st one is the only one I can't relate to. I hardly if not ever say It's a dream to dream characters. I had incidences where dream characters have told me it's a dream, but very rarely the other way around. It's similar to how I'm uncomfortable harming anyone even though I'm lucid. Anyway, the deathstare thing doesn't happen much, but now that I watched this video they'll be sure to indulge me. Thanks a lot. XD

0:25 i once had a dream at school and i told my freind i was dreaming and he just stared at me and didnt talk for the whole day until on the bus he said " what did you mean by 'we're in a dream'?". I said " watch if i close my eyes i'll wake up". I closed my eyes and in 10 seconds i was awake in my bed.

The only one time a character in my dream knew they weren’t real and told me they knew. I didn’t tell them that they just figured it out. I don’t know if this is normal behavior for a dream character, but they just got really hostile and tried to keep me there so I wouldn’t wake up and they would be alone. Or maybe they were afraid of dying? But by the end of the dream I managed to get them to calm down and realize it was okay but as soon as they did I woke up.
I think it's something else they exist as long as you do

in my first experience everybody's face started morphing around then I looked at this one lady and her face morphed like crazy big blobs moving around and she looked at me after and was like " wow !! you did that !!" and that's when I became lucid

Question: I’ve never had a lucid dream where I’ve been able to summon a dream character.... But I’ve been wondering, if I summon someone who doesn’t speak English (but speaks a different language I don’t know) in the real world will they speak English, speak in their native language, or just not talk at all? Once I had a lucid dream were I was just saying facts and then I became lucid and I said wait those are not real facts I don’t remember what the were but they were wrong and it was short and wierd

@@josefstalin8928 I told one of my Dream Characters (whom was a cop) that it was a dream and his eyes went red and he tried shooting me with his Glock but somehow I dodged the bullets, and out of no where two of my real life friends jumped out of a car with AR-15s and shot the cop which caused me to wake up.
I once told a dream character who i just happened to bump into, and we started walking and talking down a road, and i said to him "I know it's just a dream", and he was quick to change the subject and suggested we go for something to eat. That was my second and last time when i was lucid. The first time which much earlier than that, i decided i wanted to visit London, so i levitated into the sky and flew there.

It really depends. If you're taking it seriously each time you do them, doing them very frequently, and really questioning reality every time, then it might not be too long (if you're lucky, days, or a few weeks). If on the other hand you're not doing them very often or neglecting to take them seriously then they're a very spotty method that only give rare results.
I remember one time, my fictional crush in my dream was the one who told me I was dreaming 😭 and it still haunts me today
For the 2nd one (death stare.)
As soon as I become aware, They instantly become quiet af and a shadow person starts chasing me

I was about to run away from home (dream ofc) and my fictional crush and her best friend started chasing me from running away

once in my LD I was in a modern building with glass walls, inside it was empty, like it was close as was night so I tested myself to pass through the glass and in the other side was the entrance of the building and a couple was standing there. I say to them" Did you jus saw what I did?! We are in a dream"! and I repeated again very exaited the glass passing through. They looked at me un impressed and they talked back to me in un unknown lenguage...like russian or somthing alike like they dont understand me...I was so proud of myself!!!
my sister who first told me about lucid dreaming also said that the dream characters tried to drag her back into the dream plot
im not able to become lucid and never was on purpose or unintentionally but in a normal dream i always experience the last one and its always the main character apart from me
A lot of times whenever I realize I'm lucid dreaming, I'll wake up (but still dreaming) so that I don't believe I can mess with my dream. Also, signs that I'm lucid dreaming stop appearing. Third thing, random things will try to kill me- a zombie apocalypse will start suddenly, or some creepy character from a movie will try to kill me

but there was one thing I've been wondering. Lately I wake up anywhere from 2-5 hours after falling asleep. I know 3 hrs and 4.5 hrs after sleep would put me REM, but even if I dont wake up at any of those times, when I fall asleep (after waking up of course) I still find I go right into a dream. Last night when I had my LD I had only slept 2 hrs (which probably explains why when I woke up it'd only been like 10 mins), but I guess I'm just trying to say that I'm having a hard time understanding when I'm in REM. And simply remembering the dream I was in last doesnt always help :I
i today told a girl in a lucid dream that im dreaming and she gave me the worst death stare of my whole life

I had the one where they deat stared me a couple times. The first time i got too spooked and i woke up... The second time i told them all to "fuck off" and they went back to normal lol. That was so funny i started laughing and then just the people i recognized just stared at me and the background people just kept walking.

The only lucid dream i have had i kept having false awakenings i would wake up in bed get up have a shower even chat to my family before work every time i would notice something wasn't right i would wake up in bed it kept repeating get up shower etc noticed something else odd it would happen again. This went on what felt like a life time it was only 6 hours in the real world but in that dream felt like 6 years i was aware of every second and everytime i thought it was over and i was awake but no it went on and on. It felt so real it kept me really paranoid and shook up for a while at one point whiles it was happening i thought i was dead and stuck in a limbo sort of place in the end my alarm woke me up for real and it was finally over never happened again. ps if you even watched the groundhog day movie staring bill murray it was kind of like that.
I don’t think I would call it a death stare. It also doesn’t happen every time, either. Last night I experienced my first dream inquiry, like the one Robert Waggoner describes in his first book. The dream characters (there were 3 of them) never verbally spoke to me and when I became Lucid they became more curious about me and I heard a question pop into my head. “How did learn to do this?” I thought they meant flying so I answered, “by Lucid dreaming.” I don’t think it was the right answer because they immediately got up to leave. Regardless, except for the whole speaking to me with their minds thing, it was a fairly straight forward interview.
So I've recently been wondering about learning while asleep, but it seems all scientific research points to that you can't. What if you listen to whatever you want to learn, get lucid, then remember your dream later?
Also, I had one lucid dream a long time ago and it was pretty short. I keep doing reality checks and stuff but I just keep not having any. I don't remember my dreams about half the time, and that makes me wonder: if you practice something in a lucid dream, then forget the dream, does your practicing have an affect?

Yes, even if we don't remember our dreams, even if they're abstract, somehow, we learn, that's why we dream. But to remember your dreams you have to write all of them in a dream journal to remember more and more.
I did tell the people that they were a part of my dream. And I was very sad. So were they. I didnt want them to go because they were nice to me. Some were even my family in real life. And when I saw a portal open up I somehow knew the dream was gonna end. I told them I didnt wanna go but they said I need to go and that they would be okay. And when I walked into the portal I woke up.
I once had a dream where I had to escape a room and like my mind knew I was awake and I wanted to wake up but I couldnt and I guess my cousin Carla saw me wiggling and kicking in my sleep so she woke me up and I was all sweaty and I went back to sleep and I was in that same dream again
Weir things about freams characters, they melts in front of you they will have distorted faces that sometimes looks funny other times scary.
I got a weird theory, almost everyone said they have experienced telling a character that they are fake and they are in your dream, What if its an actual place where their job is to make it seem real and if they fail they get punished therefore they breakdown and cry and have to get rid of you some said they give you the death stare and try to kill you and the dream ends, A comment from a person on a different video had said they have had a talk with one where they responded with they are real just in a different time and one said that one straight up told them that they know they are not real and kept them there, One has said they held hands with one and told them to wake up at the same time and counted down from 3.
It could be true that our dreams are real places where people are paid to put on an act. There's a belief that technology can manipulate our dreams. It could be used to interrogate answers or secrets out of people as some have experienced. One time after I was talking to a dream character she paused still for several seconds like a movie stopped playing, then I woke up.

In my lucid dreams all dream characters know it’s a dream. I literally had one a few days ago where I told my mom I’m dreaming and she said “I know”. It’s probably very different from one person to another. IME I know the characters are really me so they agree with me on everything basically, just like I agree with myself.
To me she ignore me what i told her ignore me whole day only talk to me crumbs of little talk

Just a few nights ago I had a dream were a few people in my dream were eating metal like screws, nuts and bolts, it was weird.

Whenever i was younger and i dreamed there were usually these people who would tell me im dreaming but they'd also tell me that i should wake up, then they'd tell me how to wake up and i would. Guess dream people hate me or something.

question for you: what are your thoughts on dream characters that are aware that they are in a dream. for example, today i had a lucid dream, i told a few dream characters that they are in a dream, they didn't believe me at first but i spawned some things that left them confused. later this woman approached me and said something like "dream characters are weird, aren't they?". I was surprised and asked her how was she aware of this all and she said something along the lines of "oh it's pretty easy to do". lol. thoughts?

In my dream all the people there were anime, there was this one emotionless girl she seemed so real but I asked her if I was dreaming and she said yes but she acknowledged that she was just a thought. I had a good time with her it was fun
