People who moved to Florida ruined the economy for native Floridians by paying crazy prices for homes and condos. Florida has always had hurricanes and the North has flooding and tornados. One of the biggest problems I saw was the newcomers wanted to change the relaxed, slow paced Florida to a high paced political New York. If newcomers feel that Florida lifestyle is not for them, then they should move back to where they are more comfortable. Speaking of comfort it was 108 degrees here yesterday in North Florida. ( actual temperature)
I've been a Florida resident for about 20 years now due to my health issues. I wanted some what normal life for my self and son. I don't agree with some of DeSantis policies but he has done some good here. Prices are HIGH but it's a cycle. I live on s.w. side of FL and always glad to see snow birds go back to help with traffic! I made my decision and here to stay.

I talk to a lot of people thinking about moving here to Florida. It is not the only reason people consider moving here, but our politics is often a deciding factor, both for moving here and not. I make sure to thank the people who won’t come because of our politics. 😁

We moved to Fl from Ct 9 years ago this month. No regrets. We moved because 9 years ago was expensive to live. Ocala keeps showing up on lists for affordable and weather possibly better during hurricane season. In a way I wish it was told because then it soon won’t be affordable. 💕🐿️

My sister and BIL moved to Florida from Ohio. Then they got hit by Hurricane Ida and got swamped. They moved back to Ohio within the year!

Here in Arizona we have to put up with winter visitors who can be rather cocky. They think we survive because of the money they bring. Stores raise prices and never seem to order adequate stock to accommodate locals and the visitors. That is only the tip of the iceberg. Many have little to no respect for the people who live here. Who can figure out peoples attitudes?

Sooo, I definitely would move somewhere based upon the "Political stance, especially considering today's Societal Mess & confusion. I def want to live in a place that shares the same "beliefs" as me and my family. One step further would be a State which upholds our Constitutional Rights as standard or priority. God , Family, Country. 2A and the ability to leave a City if need be. Alaska is that place. So often we feel far removed from the lower 48 "happenings" , but with things how they are and have been for a while now, I'm super happy and pretty firm on not moving, again. I'm happy and Alaska is my forever home. After living or traveling in nearly all 50 states (except Haw'aii). Days that I choose to disconnect from Technology (which I do often), I wouldn't even know that I live in America. I feel like I'm in my own village somewhere, and I love it.
Daily, I can look outside, or take a drive and will nearly always chime across Wildlife and that makes me happy. Really Blessed. Moose and baby moose are everywhere here right now... & that's exactly what I prefer. 🫎✝️🇺🇲
