    Love your vids Tyler. This one was particularly useful as we plan for our month long Central Aussie trip. I make sure I check your past videos before heading off now as the commentary on terrain, ideas for checking out key spots, and suggestions for gear, packing and safety are great. My hubby likes to come along but I'm the one who does the planning and prep for my Hilux. Don't stop sharing your great ideas.

    Good work Tyler. Not a fan of schedules on trips. I start with a general goal, like go south, catch salmon & a date to be home. Beyond that though, everything is fluid. No set destinations, camp sites or anything like that. Time is told by it's either light or dark & meal time is decided by when I'm hungry. Schedules take the fun & relaxation out of a trip.

    Tyler Iv always wondered want you did as a Monday to Friday gig 👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺
    I also admire the time you spend with your son.. Absolutely gold.
    I had a giggle when you said it does your head in when other people want to tag along. I’m the same. As much as I like the company of others I much enjoy traveling around at my own pace sole. A rough plain and if it works all good. If it doesn’t there is next time.. My trips away are photography based & if I’m with others I feel restricted or less creative..
    I try to get over to tassie once every 18 months. (My dad lives on the east coast). Iv fallen in love with the west coast.. snow, ice, wind, massive waves, rain and the landscape in my eyes is spectacular.. All done solo. Some days I don’t see a sole for ages much like my South Australia trips.. An InReach GPS tracker is a must. I’m back in tassie for 16 days this September. Flying my partner into Hobart on the Thursday night for a few days on Bruny Island them sending her home the Sunday.
    I really enjoy your story telling style. Keep the adventure coming
    Ant 👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺

    really looking forward to the trip, we have had to cancel ours due to some unforeseen bills. Tassie 2021....lol.. If I am taking the swag we run one tie down length ways from the front to the rear and find it keeps it nice and tight at the front no matter the speed. Also put the handles on the bottom to stop them flopping around. Thanks for the info...

    • @TylerThompson90
      @TylerThompson90 4 года назад +1

      Yeah okay sweet thanks mate! Will have to give that a go, the reason I don't put the handles at the bottom is they often seem to end up slipping through the roof rack and then bang on the roof in the wind. Hopefully you can still get down to Tassie next year!

    Can you give your honest opinion on those new 250 watt solar panels you using are they worth the money?

      Im really happy with it, works well. Super light and thin and good how you can see everything through the app. One of the big benefits of them is you can get a heap of power out of them early in the morning and late of an afternoon. But I also haven't used any other Solar Blankets to compare it to, this is the first one I've had.
