@@Z00L..ChUpAcUpS You user name. That was an AMIGA game if I remember 🤩. Lovely warm full bodied sound from these speakers. The top end is nice to. Cheers.
@@Z00L..ChUpAcUpS I loved my AMIGA. I remember having Zool. I think it was in answer to SEGA Sonic The Hedgehog? Turrican 2 and Shadow of the beast were my favourites. 🤩
Hey Matt, you're doing a fantastic job! I love watching your videos. I'm a huge fan of British speakers. I also have the 66. There's still the adhesive sticker on the top, and I want to paint the back in black. I was wondering, how do you preserve it? Keep up the good work, thanks!
@@michaeldebled3471 If its the metal name plate then you can normally work something flat underneath it bit by bit to remove it and then glue it back after. If it's the paper inspection sticker you will wreck it trying to remove it. I normally paint round it with an artists brush then roller the rest. You could try masking it up but there's a risk of ripping it when removing the tape
Lovely! My 25's had no gaskets on the PBR, or in fact any of the drive units...... And the cards were falling off the tweeters too... Your last video on these made me think I had used the wrong caps when I rebuilt the crossovers, as they do sound a bit harsh.. I probably should have sent them to a pro who knows this stuff, but he had stopped taking in resto/repair work. 🙂
Reminds me of a shooting channel run by a British guy. When he started all the comments were from Americans telling him he was wrong on just about everything. Why? Because Americans know everything about guns presumably and a British person can't possibly. After a year or so his channel became highly respected and all the keyboard warriors went elsewhere (or stayed and learned). Armchair experts are always happy to tell you where you're going wrong. No expertise required, just read a book or watch a few videos and off you go.
Excellent work as always your customer must be really pleased your knowledge of these old speakers is amazing
I love that you're keeping these speakers going there is something about vintage speakers that I just love well done keep up the fantastic work ❤😊
