    Thank you! It was a nightmare for a while, importing into Chitubox resulted in a reduced size by a factor of 100, now it works, thanks again.

    This is a huge deal for me! This worked perfectly. I have an Ender 3 Pro and I use Cura. I went from nothing showing up on old and new versions of Cura to exactly scaled models on all Cura versions up to 4.8. Thank you for this video!!

    Great! It seems that stl files do not contain measurement units and slicers assume that it is in milimetrs.

    For those of us on laptops, we don’t have a number pad function. Hitting the 7 key doesn’t change to the top views…….I have to do it manually. 🤷🏾‍♂️

      You can use the “tilde” on your keyboard and select the view from the pop up menu. That is the little squiggly line near the 1 key on the upper left of the keyboard.

      @@watchesandjewelry Oh ok! Thanks!
      I’m trying to convert .obj files to .stl ones. These are car files with a ton of parts, but they were scaled REEEEAAALY tiny, I believe HO scale.
      The trick is to get all the parts converted, then get Chitubox to print them in the correct scale so that parts won’t be out of scale to each other.
      I like to go by percentages in the slicer….if I’m doing a model in 1/25 scale for example, the percentages across the board should work for all the parts IF….the scales in Blender match up correctly before being exported.
      Thanks for the help! 👍🏾

    Idk what I'm doing wrong. This isn't working for me. I followed the steps and chitubox says its too small. Even if I try to print it's either not printing or printing really strangely. Idk what to do :(

    I'm very new with the 3d printing and cad. So I made a ring in blender 2.8 that I like to send for printing and casting but when I make my file .stl I have to use 3d print toolbox add on for blender it has an option with the name of MAKE MANIFOLD when I apply this option it deform my model. So, later on I try the same ring "without applying" MAKE MANIFOLD and create the stl file without any deformation. My question is : Do I have to use all the time make manifold option in blender in order to print any model or is Ok without it ? I appreciate the help . Thank you so much.

      There are some settings under the 3D print tools that need to be adjusted. I’ve been working on a video for this. I’ll speed it up.

    Why print it tilted?

    • @watchesandjewelry
      @watchesandjewelry  2 года назад

      Printing at an angle especially with things like jewelry will often give you excellent results. Especially rings. Some models benefit from straight printing. Most can be improved by rotating 20 to 45 degrees

    • @watchesandjewelry
      @watchesandjewelry  2 года назад

      Also, when adding supports to the model, angling the print can help move the support contact points from important parts of your model so that you have less cleanup time and lower the rush of damage to your model. Thanks for a great question
