If your LCS has a ton of Mercs, KEEP BUYING! A lot of shops near me don't even have any to sell! I'm having Mercury withdrawals! 😉 I don't typically buy Constitutional from online dealers...most have hiked up the premiums on it. Good stuff!
@@SoutherStacker007 Not especially hard but they're less common than Crowns for eg which was the British equivalent. I paid about $26 usd each for 4 decent ones
Congratulations on picking up some more constitutional silver for you stack & your gonna need a bigger box for sure! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to watching more!
@@SoutherStacker007 Yeah he is only open Thursday through Saturday but he has amazing prices on 90 percent silver. Mikes coins in Monticello MN is the shop.
90% halves are so nice to stack. The rolls are very space efficient. Don’t feel too bad for paying a little extra for some Morgans. It keeps stacking fun to occasionally indulge in some coins or rounds that you really want. I dropped $1150 for a roll of 2021 libertads at a coin show last weekend (libertads come in rolls of 25). Sometimes we pay more for coins that we want to collect even when there is cheaper bullion sitting right next to it. I could have gotten 40 generic silver rounds for that price, but those libertads are just so sexy. You can always offset some of your more expensive pieces by buying cheap bullion to keep your cost basis close to $30 or below.
Lovin this comment! I had a 5 oz libra from 2020... but had to sell it to pay my bros medical bills. Now 2 years later it's worth double it's value 😅. Ohh well. You're right though, definitely gotta mix it up so you don't get bored or burnt out just buying rounds. Thanks for the comment Big L. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to watch the video🧡🇺🇲🤠
Any junk silver at a decent price is always a great call. Why? Because it sells so easily. Morgans are worth the premium and prob the best overall coin to stack in the US. Never too much if you stick to your budget. Great pickups!
@@SoutherStacker007 it depends where u go but my lcs sells them at the same price as his other junk silver. But only if there in average condition. The nicer ones are alot more
@@SoutherStacker007 It's a non-existent date. The last of the Franklins were produced in 1963, before JFK's assassination. I know sometimes you need a magnifying glass to discern the 3 or the 5s on American coinage.
Lol if that's going overboard then I've lost my freaking mind. You're doing just fine. Don't let anyone stop you. You my need to get yourself self a bigger chest. 😉
Too bad you don't live closer to Savannah Georgia. I could have sold you as little or as much 90% silver as you wanted for 18X face. Nice pickups though!
Nice pickup. Sometimes you pay higher premiums. Just hold on to them and you won’t loose money. You should start a type set. Dansco 7070 is a good place to start. Nice vids. 😃
Heck yeah! Great additions to the stack! I just bought 3 morgans all from 1891, the P, S, and D mints. They are all pretty good condition but I paid closer to $55 for each. I need to get the 1891 CC (Carson City) mint morgan, but it is about $250 for a decent condition one. I decided to fill out my 1891-1897 morgan dollar book, at least as much of it as I can. I probably won't be able to get the 1895 one because there were less than 13,000 made and they are proof coins. I don't think you're going overboard on silver, my goal is 50oz per year of bullion and whatever else I pick up in constitutional throughout the year.
Next time I go to my LCS I'll look for the 1895. They had hundreds of Morgans. So, I'll look. What years and varieties should I look for, for a 'good' buy? I'll probably pull back my budget in March when I see what the market's are doing then I may invest back into stocks.
@@SoutherStacker007 If you see the Carson City mints for 1891, 1892, or 1893 in any condition for $200 or less those would be good deals. If you somehow spotted that 1895 proof it could be worth tens of thousands of dollars. The 1894 P, 1893 S, and the 1893 P were all decently low mintages also, so fetch higher prices.
@@SoutherStacker007 I'm also into stocks and I'm into crypto. Got my stocks in my Roth IRA, and my crypto on a few different exchanges. Anything that doesn't go to bills now goes into silver or stocks or crypto.
So if I spot that one in a cull bin.. i should snag it.. GOTCA!😅 I did see a 1921 I think that looked almost brand new and I was like... is this fake?😅
@@SoutherStacker007 If you spot one definitely grab it! I'm sure the 1921 is real, they stopped minting morgans in 1904, but did a special minting again in 1921. Looks like upgraded 1921's are about $50-$70 in nice condition.
No stack is complete without at least a few Morgan’s :)
That's what i say lol
