Awesome news, please update us on when the software update comes through for all T4 models because I have the N/A one and would love to further decrease the fuel consumption even though I’ve been ranging around 7.7l per 100kms to 8.1l per 100kms, this would help massively, keep up the good work 🙏🏽❤️
Hi Bald Chery. I bought a new Chery Pro 4 Automatic Turbo 1.5. In Jan 2024. Since then been experiencing a " limbo" cvt gearbox, where the gearbox goes into limbo mode, stuck in first gear only. It happens intermittently only and seems it only happens when the vehicle gets warm. Not sure if it is a software issue or gearbox issue. Been in for repairs and fault finding for weeks at end with Chery Menlyn in Pretoria, with no success on resolving the issue. Cherry Headoffice Sa also are not very helpful in assisting to negotiate for a new replacement Chery, and make it my problem to get sorted from the bought dealers. Without any success on negotiations further testing needs to be do by my bought dealer now. Apparently no fault finding reports can be found on any Dino testing. Once the vehicle stands for a while a couple of hours the issue fixes itself and drives as normal again. Any suggestions on what this issue can be for resolving the issue. or how to proceed to claim a new replacement vehicle under the protection consumer Act with the bought dealership or Chery SA. The vehicle is only 5 month old and just exceeded it 5000 km. Your assistance or advise will be appreciated. Siegie 072 243 4488
Remember to have you 5000km/6month service. A few things... Pls make sure the car is properly heated up and it says "heating completed" Have you had the new update installed on your car? It helps and adjusts the gearbox? Might help with the CVT. Just a question.... you drive in full auto or in manual aswell? You drive in SPORTS or ECO and which fuel do you use?
15.3km/L dang that is really good. Considering it has a Turbo. My 4 Pro elite CVT is getting 12km/l and I'm driving like a grandma. So count me in for this software update! Much love from Cape Town!!
There is a gentleman down that side that been told by Chery to come get it at the dealer. So he is gonna test it that side and hopefully this is soon. I sent the pics to the guys at head office and they asked me if they were reading it correctly. And I'm like I'm even shocked to see those numbers. So this looks like very good news for Chery, with this update and a lower fuel consumption, they going to battle to keep up with stock availability for new customers wanting a wonderful car with good consumption.
@@theBaldChery I'm interested to see if we here at the coast will get even better fuel consumption though. I'm really happy with my Chery, I had the updated model Starlet and over a whole year been struggling with Toyota in fixing the car's issues. I just decided to bite the bullet and couldn't be happier with my Elite CVT.
I recently had a surprising experience with the fuel efficiency of my Tiggo 4 CVT Elite. Typically, I refuel at Engen and find it challenging to achieve a fuel consumption rate higher than 11km/l. However, last week, after filling up at BP, I noticed a significant improvement, with the consumption rate jumping to 14.2km/l. This leads me to wonder if there might be an additive in the fuel that isn't compatible with Chery vehicles, affecting the performance.
That's correct, that's one of the things I pointed out in my vid about the different fuels and whoch ones to use and stay away from. If you want better, give SHELL95 a shot, but stay away from SASOL and TOTAL, and CALTEX now known as ASTRON.
This would make a drastic difference for me at the moment im managing on my t7 8.6L/100km converted thats 11.6 kilometers/liter(i tend to take it easy most days) with your advice i drive and prefer to drive in sport mode only which is why the consumption came down. Correct me if I'm wrong but the t4 and t7 1.5L cvt are the same so the updates should work the same as per engine? Side note i found your channel a little bit ago and been following every update ever since. Thanks and also thanks for actually getting information on the updates
nice video. cant wait till it comes for the Manual. consumption on highway and urban roads about 5.6l/100km. but if only urban roads about 7.9. Tiggo 4 pro elite.
The update will be free and takes about 10 min from starting to being done. Once the update is done the first little bit of driving will feel slightly different like a different gearbox.
As far as I know they're testing the T4 and then to the T7 and C5. However this is only on the CVT 1.5T currently. At a much later stage then they'll look at the DCT's.
My urban driving is around 9 to 10km/l Then, highway driving to work and back, I get around 11.8km/l to 12.3km/l! So at 15km/l that will be a game changer!!!!!!!
Thanks for this, cant wait to get my 4 pro updated with this software. We cant get it below 9.0l/100km...This is a huge relief

This is awesome news, you mentioned previously that this update could even work on the T7 pro 1.5 cvt? I would be happy to assist with testing ;-)
I think you should do a video of a week of normal driving on eco mode vs sport mode
I'm actually about to post a video and that at the end I asked if that people want to see that.

👌 Wow🎉 Thanks that is excellent news.
Please tell me there’s one for the Tiggo 8 pro max lol
Not as per yet, they will be doing one for the DCT at a later stage, as I was told by CherySA.
@@theBaldChery thank you so much for being the ambassador for Chery in SA and keeping us informed.
Thanks for the msg. It's a pleasure, I do try my best to inform everyone as much as I can.
Do you know if this will also be coming to the T7? I truly hope so as I’m about to pull the trigger on the T7!

My wife has been driving a T7 for about 1,5yrs. She loves the car. This would be a nice update if they do the 7 as well!
@ thebaldchery my chery app is not working do you know what’s wrong?
Chery are busy with the app. Apparently it's been down and giving problems for the past wk.
Because I got a chery tiggo 7 pro max AWD and they told me about the app and when I got the app it was just loading
