Fr. Mark...I notice that I naturally tend towards positive things and I find myself more and more joyful, more and more of the time. I used to think that it was just a spiritual thing. But apparently it is an actual change that the human body, the human brain, can under go.

Me too, learned desolation and despair are….. because that means we are being unfaithful and NOT TRUSTING on the WORD OF GOD.

Catholics follow the bible perhaps more than many other Christians. Attend mass and you see the liturgy steeped in the Bible. I also like to point out that not everything is in the Bible (which should be read in the original Greek and Jewish context) because John's Gospel 21: 24-25 in which John says if all the works are recorded, the " world itself could not contain the books that would be written."
Also, think about this. Our God is almighty. Do we as men (presumptuously) dictate that God does only what we have recorded (even one written with divine inspiration) in a book?
Another problem is man has grown so proud that he thinks he can "reason" out God's intentions. Believe so that you can understand instead of understand so that you can believe. God bless, Catholics will not judge anyone who loves God and does his good works.
Catholic church is the Bible. Everything in the Catholic church comes out of the Bible. It's a church rooted and living out the Bible whereas other Christian denominations are 'learning' communities. The ones in search of Truth eventually end up in the Catholic church.

Don't be Stiff necked. Our Holy Mighty God strongly dislikes his children to be stiff- necked, ungrateful grumbling children! Instead, give THANKS to Our Lord. For every blessing God has given you tell Him thank you Lord! And yes, Father Goring, our life is perfect because it is God's greatest gift! NEVER take His Blessings for granted. For He gives and He can ( and will take away.) 🙏💕

Do you have family/friends? You could share your bills with them. He lives with 6 other people.
He is a messenger of God. God is your Father and He will provide for your bills. Hasn't He done it in your life till now. Have faith in the Lord.
