the difference between Sideshow's portrait and this one's,are like night and day.The should have made a couple of good portraits instead of 6 bad ones.

I have to say this is impressive! That sentinel is the best one out I’ve seen in any capacity. The detail on him is top notch. Rogue, however, kind of kills it. I have the SS Rogue and she is a beauty and so finely sculpted, unfortunately this Rogue has a soft/sloppy sculpt especially as seen on her jacket lapel and collar. They crotch scares me! Haha. I have to say Mr X, it almost looks like you have a Sentinel bust with a Rogue add-on. Just my opinion....I am totally jealous and would love to own this. Major congrats. By the way, that turntable is next level! Thanks for sharing.
Definitely a show stopping head turner John. Absolutely epic in scale with so much to look at. Have to say, there’s probably only one headsculpt I would display with it and it’s your #1. I’d definitely recommend taking whatever alternate sculpt you like the hair the best, and sending it off to either be repainted or dremmeled and resculpted to bring out the feminine features. Regardless, it’s still a beautiful piece. Congrats buddy!

The sideshow face is way better but that statue is really nice

I’m guessing this is Franco’s work. While he is one of the best, his weakness can be portraits-especially female portraits, I’ve noticed.

@@chuckandimeforeve It's not that his portraits are bad necessarily... Franco is excellent... It's just my subjective opinion that his style with regard to human faces isn't very good. Again, just my opinion. Thankfully--while not perfect--his Wolverine portraits are the least offensive. Also, his masked Wolverine portraits are terrific... mostly just the unmasked ones that suffer.

All I have to say is WOW! That is a stellar statue! The sculpt on the Sentinel with that damage is very cool. One of the portrait's snarl was totally a Billy Idol - White Wedding look! HA HA Thanks for the share Mr. X!

Major issues with the portraits. It’s the weakest of the whole piece.

Detail is astounding! I collect all 1/6 scale but watching your channel makes me want to start with some 1/4 scale.
I can't see you getting out of the statue hobby if they keep coming up with artwork like this I don't know if anyone else seen it in your face but you looked so excited congrats bro it truly is an amazing pease.

It's a beautiful story. Sentinel head and rogue are amazing but to displaying it is a hell not only for size but to appreciate head and rogue at the same time. Sideshow portrait are million times better but the detail on every single inch on this custom is fantastic

I don't think a sentinel statue could get any more interesting than this. The concept is phenomenal! The paint could be more vibrant, but that's a personal preference, or could be the lighting. Nice review!

I think ur spot on with ur review! And if u can get a different head sculpt to work better 👍. To me all the head sculpts except the side show that u had compared at one point, which if it fit would've been cool i think.

Is this a statue of a sentinel or rogue? Lol. Seems like the focus in on the sentnel. All these customs seem to focus more on the HUGE bases . Big ass sentinel heads and hands .. this is over the top .. the rogue dont look good .. And I dont think they are scaled correctly.. from the comics I've read... these sentinels are way to big..
She looks like a transgender or chris cyborg lol. How can they kill the base .. like knock the sentinel out of the park.. then stuff a action figure inside it.. do not like the customs .. cyclops is the only one I liked

@@heavybarrel4715 I had my wife watch the part of the video where Mr. X showed the portraits. Her comment was that the portraits looked androgynous, which I think is right on point.
****ing epic and I love the scale ratio the best yet .p.s. I think your right about the base and beating the iceman.
I recommend you look into getting the portraits re-painted. While the head sculpts still aren't great, a better paint job especially around the eyes will make a massive difference.

OH MY GOSH. Now that's an XMen statue, that thing is massive. From the moment i started this video I thought that this was the perfect sentinel piece, except that I couldn't stop looking at the portrait, like you said they were some-what manly but after seeing it for a while and seeing the one that you liked on her I think it looks great. To me this would've been the perfect statue had the face sculpt and paint on the face been a little different but other than that, I'm really impressed with it. Great Review!

Congrats! glad you finally got it in, The sentinel looks great, the rogue not so much. The concepts from this group are always so impressive and the final results never seem to live up to it with the probable exception of magneto
