    not gonna lie, the Colt's could be one of the best teams in the NFL this year if they live up to their potential. There are proven starts, or young guys with extremely high upside at every position. Biggest thing in this team's way is health and experience.

    The context always missing from this conversation is how he got injured.
    1) The concussion - came when he let up when was crossing the goal line on a pointless hit. And the concussion came when he hit his head on the ground not the hit itself. And it was also turf for what it’s worth. Lesson learned protect yourself at all times, because guys will cheap shot you if they can.
    2) The Shoulder - look at the play and the way the defender lays on his shoulder/arm. There is no way he wasn’t going to get injured. The issue is how he took the hit or lack there of. He needs to be careful about knowing when to fight and when to go down. And then make sure he goes down in a way that lessens impact. But my point is any QB is getting injured if the defender sprawls out on your arm.
    I don’t think he is injury prone. He just made some rookie mistakes and because defenders are out to make a point against him (because of his size and hype) he unfortunately paid the highest price.

    • @TheRayzerBandit
      @TheRayzerBandit 12 дней назад +11

      FINALLY, someone who looks at context. A concussion can happen to any player at any time, that's not a running QB specific thing. And there have been multiple pocket QBs who have injured their shoulders by getting hit while they throw the ball.
      Let alone the fact that his AC joint has a history with an injury going back into his high school days. It's probably a good thing for his long term future that he was able to get surgery on in to fix the issue before putting more damage on it. The fact that he took himself out for the concussion shows how mentally mature he is also, so he's likely to heed the warnings from everyone that he needs to protect himself better. But "injury prone"?!? I don't see it yet.

      @@nickmoore4065 What happened to AR isn't too dissimilar to what happened to Aaron Rodgers a few years ago when he had his shoulder injury. It didn't matter so much that he was on a designed run, but the fact that as he was being brought down he landed directly onto his shoulder with the full weight of the defender on top of him just increasing the force of the impact. Rodgers had his collarbone break, AR had the ac joint (where the collarbone connects into the top of the "shoulder blade") tear apart, but both similar in how they got injured.

    The Bengals almost drafted Michael Pittman Jr in the 2nd round of the 2020 draft. They drafted Tee Higgins instead. Higgins was taken at 33 and Pittman was taken by the Colts at 34. I think the Bengals picked the right guy. Looking at measurables Pittman is a little bigger than Tee, he is faster and has better explosion numbers than Tee and Pittman scored quite a bit higher on then Wonderlic test. So after 3 years Pittman has 336 catches, 3662 yards, and 15 tds in 62 games played and 56 games started. Tee Higgins has 257 catches, 3684 yards, and 24 tds in 58 games played and 53 games started. So Pittman has more catches but he played more games than Tee and Tee has more yards and tds than Pittman has.

    2. Is AR the first rookie to get hurt in his rookie season? Tua was a concussion away from being medically retired. Burrow sneezes and is out for the remanding season but AR gets hurt and it’s instantly he’s injury prone…the dude haven’t even played in enough games to even determine that
    3. Then y’all talk like he was supposed to just jolly into the NFL after playing on a college level and just know everything from throwing the ball to protecting himself on a NFL level..Like he was just supposed to start and day 1 already be NFl pro ready know how to get down, know how to fall so you don’t injure your self, know how to drop a dime, and know when to run….it’s like where was the thought that this dude has a lot to learn especially with his style of play it’s going take a minute before he grasp everything….y’all was saying he shoulda sat his first year any way

    The injuries he sustained didn't necessarily come from the hits, but the way he landed and fell. The concussion was like that, and the shoulder injury was a bit of a freak accident that happened to me when I played football and also similar to what happened to Baker Mayfield-his weight compressed on his shoulder and tore the ligament. I think it'll benefit him to be more cautious, but I didn't necessarily watch him and think, "oh this guy's reckless with no concern for his body." Just some unfortunate falls.

      The Texans had no business even being in contention for the playoffs. They were suppose to be a lottery team. They were banged up all year and had a rookie QB and first year coaching staff. They had a worst overall roster than either the Colts or Jags last year and were probably the least talented team entering the playoffs. They have improved thru free agency and the draft. Winning the AFC South with a second rate roster was rather impressive.

    • @tylerrobertson7919
      @tylerrobertson7919 4 дня назад

      @@edwardflores7108 Yes, but at the same time, they barely did it. Keep in mind the colts’ entire secondary AND starting QB were injured AND their top 3 RB was banged up most of the year, so it wasn’t just the Texans being good and doing better than expected. Not to mention, this year they have the fourth hardest strength of schedule, so they’re not getting a cake walk

    • @edwardflores7108
      @edwardflores7108 4 дня назад

      @@tylerrobertson7919
      I agree. However injuries are part of the game. The Texans offensive line was in shambles the majority of the year. The run game was one of the worst in the NFL and heading into the Colts game most of the Texans receivers were out. Tank Dell, Noah Brown and Woods were out. It was basically Stroud to Nico Collins that won the Texans that game. Houston basically won the division with glue and duct tape lol. They needed to rely mostly on Stroud being otherworldly as a rookie to be competitive. The entire AFC South is improving but no one saw Houston rebuilding as quickly as they did. Even if Houston had lost against the Colts and missed the playoffs can anyone really say that the Texans winning 9 games was something anybody expected. They were suppose to be an easy win on the schedule and laughingstock. Their schedule will be much more difficult this year but their roster is also much improved so they can't be written off.

    • @tylerrobertson7919
      @tylerrobertson7919 4 дня назад

      @@edwardflores7108 Oh certainly not, I’m not saying they should be written off at all, they’re a scary team having to face twice in a year, I’m just saying they’re not gonna cake walk their way into winning the division either

      I agree. However as a Texans fan I'm pretty well versed in our history. Houston has 7 division titles and have never won the division by more than 1 whole game. They never win the division easily lol. Last year was a grind as always. They had to beat a playoff team in Pittsburgh, needed Stroud to be just about perfect against Tampa, had to beat Burrow in Cincy, had to upset division favorite Jacksonville, beat a surprisingly hot Broncos team, had to survive starting Case Keenum against the Titans to win in overtime and had to send our rookie QB to hostile territory in Indy with a playoff berth on the line, in a primetime game no less. It was no cakewalk and winning the AFC South this year will be even tougher. All four teams in the division have improved. Should be a fun season!

      The Texans still can't be underestimated. They were expected to be terrible and won the South with a rookie QB and first year coaching staff. They improved in the off-season. They have a better roster than they had last year. Their schedule will be tougher but the team as a whole is better on both sides.
