great video Mike looks a super place for frieght, you got into some cracking positions there Mike early on to get those 66s going around thode tight curves betwwe the foliage😂 loved the x gran central , x EMT grey 43 with the buffers ,they looked cool , well done matey excellent vidio take care A T B Syd👍
I know I have probably said this before to you Syd but you are very kind with your comment about my videos. Thank you so much Syd I just like to capture what I see the best I can, and sometimes I get it right. Regards Mike.
Great video Mike, another location that rarely disappoints.Still not seen the power cars in traffic👍🏼Got a tour of the works next week which should be good.ATB Dave
Absolutely brilliant filming Mike. Shows that Eastleigh is still well worth a visit today. What a great catch those RA power cars. I've seen plenty of their locos working in Germany but have yet to catch the 43's here in the UK. Keep up the great work and stay safe 👍
Cracking shots and captures there Mike! Wow! Splendid sounds and location! Glad you caught these! Magnificent action and variety! Excellent detailing and camera work! A perfect example of why I recommend your excellent channel! Great stuff! Top class! No faults at all! Well done! Great work! A winner! You did well there! The perfect vid! Nice car trains and 70s! I loved the Colas action! Those HST Grey Powercars were awesome too! A great day for you by the looks of it! Interesting to see the 08 as well! Very nice indeed! Loooooooooooooooooved it! Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing! Take care, have an awesome day and all the best! Jamie
Top video Mike. I would have visited here whilst I'm on my course but I'm visiting the yard next month so will do some filming then. As always though first class footage from yourself. ATB. Ben
Well Jamie I was pleased how my morning there worked out. Maybe next time we can organise a meeting there, in fact I'm back down that way on the 9th December as I'm filming a band in Southampton.
Thanks for posting! Enjoyed the trains, but oh my, the state of the infrastructure is shocking. 2m high Buddleia plantations between sidings and running lines, destructive unattended growth on the overbridge, the spalding and decayed brickwork all along the bottom of Platform 2, the poor state of the permanent way at the engineering works yard throat points. Presents a depressing picture of underinvestment in maintenance.
Super video Mike, great to see so many class 70's,and a working 08. The HST's looked a bit surreal, it was as though you edited them in black and white. Well done 🤓 .
More 70s makes me a happy chap Tony, I had a very good few hours I think, and I kept fit up and down the stairs and walking up and down the road. Thanks for your comment Tony. ATB Mike.
Great video 😀👀 Nice to see the 70’s and those Rail Adventure HST power cars…novel idea running them back to back like that as one powerful 4,500 HP engine 🤔 Im just surprised more freight or passenger operators never thought of that, as most power cars have already been re-engined MTU and refurbished so they had plenty of Operating life still in them 🤔 Would have been easy enough to fit conventional buffers and draw gear to the rest of the power cars and you’d have a reliable, powerful tried and tested design - a bit of traction modification for freight (re-gear the transmission for slower heavier haulage) and away to go 🤔
@@antman09ful1 Can you imagine a class 4 freight (e.g. Daventry-Mossend intermodal on the WCML) being hauled by a pair of these with 4,500 HP.? 👀😀🎉👍🏽 Currently restricted to a 75mph path, but if the Intermodal stock was up to it along with breaking capability, they could be increased to 85mph or even 90mph running where permitted…that would certainly be a sight to see 👀😀👍🏽
When you film the locos moving in the yard sometimes you see lots of loco moves and sometimes you don't see any moves at all. You was lucky to see some loco moves during the time you have spent there. The Colas Class 70's now working the tanker trains that go through Tamworth were use to be Class 60's and I don't know why the Class 60's are replace by Class 70's. Do you know Why?
Thanks for your comment about my EH video William. I can only think the reason why some of the Kingsbury tanks have changes to Colas class 70s is cost. Colas must have put a cheaper tender in.
Oh yes them were the days, I did one on a Saturday morning once or twice, and I see they are still doing them. Yes it made a nice change to visit this station.
Recon Eastleigh is the mecca and surrounding areas Mike, you just cant beat it for great workings! Excellent shots there, may i ask what was the band you were watching? Great to see Keith out and about again, we were quite concerned about him at one stage, but appears to have made a good recovery! Another excellent session from you, enjoyed cheers Nick.
Hi Nick, yes I agree EH is very good shame I don't get down that way more. I know a lot of band on the blues music circuit and that day I was filming a mate I've known for over twenty years called Aynsley Lister who is tours Germany at the moment, and he wanted me to tour with him but my wife has back problems so I couldn't go. Yes Keith's son David told me what was going on over the weekend about him being in hospital Nick. Just remember I will be down at EH again in December as i'm filming another band with is a good mate in Southampton called Laurence Jones, so another long day for me.
Nice that you can combine your hobbies and maximise the day. Plenty of action at Eastleigh. Great stuff.
Absolutely, has to be done.
Nice to see the HST power cars and the shunter mate.Great video
Thanks a lot Owain.
Nice compilation. Greetings from India
Glad you liked it.
What a place that is , I would have been in heaven. Top video Mike
Nice one Andy, it is a pretty good place for a few hours, will give it another go before the end of the year.
Well done video Mike, lots of nice cathces :)

Nice one Dave that will be interesting, wow its been years since I went round that works. Cheers Mike.
That's a lot of freight. Good one.👍
Indeed David I must give it another go maybe in December when I'm down that way again filming my mates band in Southampton.
some nice trains - enjoyed watching 👍1
Many thanks

Ok Colin I will be my best, but I have to thank you for this comment, EH is the best place to visit on the South Coast. Cheers Mike.
Amazing video as usual Mike, looks like Eastleigh is a great place for freight, I'll have to do there at somepoint👍
Its a busy place for enthusiasts also ENC, but you get yourself down there next year. Cheers Mike.
Eastleigh looks great for freight! 🚂👍
Cheers Dave for watching, will have to go again.

Great vid Mike, surprised to see an iet in the yard.
It should be in the scrap line Steve, thanks for the interest in my video. Regards Mike.
great video its wired how you always see 70s run from southampton area but cool
Southampton is not wired
No third rail.

Yes good thinking Ben, you will get better footage than I did, so I will look forward to seeing EH from new angles.
Great video
Thank you Pal I enjoyed my visit there.
Nice one Mike. Eastleigh is a good station for freight
I should and get down there more often Arnold bur I casnt be everywhere can I. Cheers Mike.
You have captured Eastleigh well Mike , I need to get back there again myself soon
Well Jamie I was pleased how my morning there worked out.

Definitely sort something out whilst your this end👍🏻
just had the idea of attaching a strimmer to the front of train don't know where that idea came from
Yes you give a go.
excellent filming, ive never been to eastleigh technically speaking, just passing through on a train.
Well that is what I tend to do, but this time as I was in the car I had a few hours there. Thanks for watching my video Leon.
@@antman09ful1 youre more than welcome mike. look forward to more in the future

The state of the side of the tracks is a disgrace with bushes growing all over the place. I agree with all your comment Matt.
