    I remember watching pastor Hayford in 1988 when I first became a Christian. But now in January 8, 2023 after hearing of Hayford’s departure, I begin to appreciate more what he accomplished during his ministry!

    I used to attend Church on the Way with Jack Hayford during this era and through the late 90’s….. The memories especially Pastor Jack’s sermons still hold strong with me today and have stayed with me all these years later!!!! Sad to hear that Pastor Jack has left this world today, Sunday January 8, 2023…… I’m sad BUT MORE HAPPY…… Knowing that Pastor Jack Hayford is in the VERY PRESENCE OF GOD and Our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST this very moment…. Welcomed by God with His eternal welcome that echoes through eternity, “Well done thou Good and Faithful Servant” in the VERY presence of His Majesty!!!!!!!
    Thank You Pastor Jack for allowing God, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit to use you to change the lives of millions the world over!!!! God Bless You and Rejoice with The Lord in Eternity…… FOREVERMORE
    ------
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Praise the Lord God Almighty…. And Our Risen King of Kings….“We Exalt Thee…. Oh Lord” - “Hosanna in the Highest” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Aww how priceless these memories of worshipping GOD at the church on the way. Pastor Jack was my pastor during the 80's. A strong worship leader and prayer warrior. Every Wednesday we as a congregation gathered to pray for nations (to many to list here). We also prayed for people who had cancer that GOD would heal them. In addition, prayers were lifted up for the political leaders of our nation as well as for leaders of other nations, (i.e. Great Britain, and Israel, etc.). So thankful to GOD for the spiritual training received during this season in my life. Rest in peace Pastor Jack and Pastor Scott! With Love!🙏

    Pastr Jack has touched many lives with the transforming power of Jesus' love and grace through his preaching but more powerfully, the example and fruit of a life lived in humble faithful service to God and all the sheep placed under his care. I was there in the service and you could feel the powerful, loving presence of the Holy Spirit in that place (the Living Room). Tears of appreciation and grateful ess came to my eyes as I relieved the moment, and still received God's powerful blessing thru Pastor Jack's message. We miss you, but rejoice in your reception in Heaven by the One you served faithfully, and so loved. "Well done thou faithful servant...enter now into the joy of your Lord"

    I came to here is no coincidence. I start crying when Pastor Jack pray. So strong anointed and holy, straight real biblical teaching. It’s because Pastor Jack loves Jesus so much humbly, sincerely. I feel it in my spirit. He is no compromise in his teaching. And I got the knowledge, not only that freshness but trues is cleansed in my spirit, in my heart. I was member of TCOTW from 2006 to 2011. But I never heard his teaching. It's totally different and so anointed. We need real God’s men like Pastor Jack. God bless, Pastor Jack!

    The opening song leader is Scott Bauer, who several years after this became Senior Pastor at The Church On The Way until his sudden Home Going in 2003. He was my favorite song leader at The Church On The Way, from both a congregant's and musician's point of view.

      Pastor Scott looks so young. He was such a caring pastor. He
      prayed with me when I had just been diagnosed with stage 3

      Can’t wait to see him in Heaven.

      Love Pastor Scott so much. He was actually Pastor Jack’s son-
      in-law married to his oldest
      daughter, Rebecca. The founda--
      tion of everything at TCOTW was
      worship. The congregation being led in worship and taught to
      worship Jesus with their whole
      hearts. That is why the presence
      of God was always so strong in the services.”God gave his glory to dwell in this place.”

    I may now be, by firm conviction through John MacArthur´s ministry, a stern calvinist and I even feel immensely blessed by it but listening to Dr. Jack Hayford is still for me a true deep spiritual experience. I attended Church on the Way for nearly two years and will never regret it since it changed my life.

    26:14 Well, it took almost 30 years, but we can see the end of *that* horror from here. It's been manageable for years, of course, but it's worth noting that the solution to it did not come by way of divine revelation.

      @@annebalderston2520 At the timecode I gave, Jack's talking about AIDS, and how its progress at the time had been unchecked by medical science. In 1989, this was true, but the virus had only been under study for about five years. Today, in the 2020s, we have several treatments, and even some cases of complete remission (still under study to see if they can be replicated.) AIDS is no longer the death sentence it was in the '80s.
      My comment was mostly about how this progress was not made by prayer and fasting, but by researchers using scientific methodology and technological tools.
      I say this with some embarrassment; I went to/grew up at CotW from about 1974-1993 (we'd been Missouri Synod Lutherans until my dad heard about CotW from the third grade teacher at my school at the time.) My dad was an Elder and Council member for a lot of that time; I knew Jack Hayford personally. Paul Charter, Ralph Torres, Darren (rats, I can't remember his last name, but I fancied his daughter Kolleen,) Steve Cauble, Vern Grose, John Zimmerman, Jack Duitsman, Norm Dingillian, Gary Larson, Lee Jones, Dave Edwards, Fred Gross, Dean Jones...gee, I miss those folks, and a dozen others. Rick Hayes, Bill Ball, Keith and Peggy Stabe, Dick Fiene, Dick Robertson, Mark and Sonia Wray...
      Good times.

      @JuanBorque Год назад +1

      @@stevejordan7275 how do you know the progress was not made with the fasting and prayer of people? It is possible that fasting and prayer led a scientist by the unction of the Holy Spirit to find a solution.

    • @stevejordan7275
      @stevejordan7275 Год назад

      @@JuanBorque No one medical researcher accomplished this. Even the polio vaccine may have had a front man (Jonas Salk) but it was hardly the efforts of a single individual that created that or designed and fabricated the industrial scale-up for its mass production. (Still, I'd consider it axiomatic that two hands at work will accomplish more in a day than a thousand hands folded in prayer in a year; and I'm pretty sure that the 2006 Templeton study on the efficacy of prayer merely adds an exclamation point to the end of that assertion.)
      Still, perhaps prayer *reminded* "god" that people were dying slowly and painfully in large numbers (where's the omniscience?) Perhaps it was too much effort to simply materialise one scrap of paper with explicit directions on it, or even send an angel to the key researcher (or the same message to several!) to reveal the solution (Where's the omnipotence?) Not a lot of results when so much is on the line. (Where's the omnibenevolence?)
      *sigh*
      Much as it pains and annoys me, there is simply no evidence of an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-loving triune god. (In fact, I just saw a video of how such a thing would be self-contradictory, and thus, could not exist; I'm not sure I accept that yet, as I think I could do a better job that what's on display in our world today.) "Bruce Almighty?" Yeah, pretty much; I'd like the chance to try so I can fail on my own.
      RIP, Jack. Thanks for the inspiration.

    • @JuanBorque
      @JuanBorque Год назад

      @@stevejordan7275 that goes without saying that not one person has the answer, it's a collection of people working towards a goal. Not everyone is a scientists, researcher, or doctor, but my prayer to ask God for healing or to provide the answer to someone or group of people for a solution is totally an acceptable offering before the Lord. I've experienced too many miracles and the presence of God to excuse it as some fanciful emotional high or mystical make believe experience. We are God's emissaries on earth and most of the time we are His vessel to display His glory to others. We have to learn how to lay down our own wants and needs for others, and have to be willing to serve humanity. Maybe that's the issue, we want to see the supernatural all the time to absolve ourselves from any responsibility. Faith is a hard thing to swallow for those seeking the mystical.
