Thanks for the video. Can this chiller be left outside in the rain and elements ect ect? Its much cheaper than the active aqua chillers, do you think it works as well?

It can go outside, but I'd keep it protected from the sun and rain with no direct exposure. Honestly, I think that goes for any chiller since they're so expensive. Why not protect them? As for as Active Aqua, a direct comparison would be their 1/4HP model and honestly, have never tested them. These 1/3HP chillers definitely work, but you have to be realistic as far as their capabilities. Let me know if I can answer any other questions!

I'm looking to change out my icepod which sweats in my home. Does this stay dry on the outside? or is there still a lot of condensation? Also, how about toxic materials such as BPA? How is this on the skin?

If you're familiar with them, this tub is made exactly like an inflatable standup paddleboard. Same connectors and materials. Because it's double walled, it doesn't sweat. As for it being BPA-free, I couldn't tell ya. Hope that helps!

How does this pump compare to the orlushy 4000? Would you say it’s much louder?

That particular one is louder. Iit's a much bigger pump. I used the Active Aqua in this setup because the threading allows me to directly attach the sediment filter to the pump.

Will the chiller you recommend and items , plug and play with ice barrel 500

Yes, it will. I've had this same setup connected to my Ice Barrel 300 as well. The only modification would be to get a 3/4" barb instead of 1/2" to connect to the barrel. If you decide to keep the drain spout, you'll need to get a barb that is threaded. You can see it in the video at 3:41. It's that blue barb up top on the right.
