That's because they're pretty similar in some ways. They're both sci-fi action adventure animated movies from Disney. They both were box-office flops that Disney wants to pretend that they never even happened all because of it, but both movies have their own fanbases. They were both released in the Experimental Era of Disney Animation Studios in the early 2000s, even though they only came out just a year a part. And they both used the Deep Canvas technology. However, the only difference between the two is quality. Atlantis is mediocre, forgettable, and underwhelming with style-over-substance while Treasure Planet is an amazing, memorable, well-made, well-written, and well-executed masterpiece with both style AND substance. Therefore, Atlantis didn't really deserve it's cult following and it deserved to bomb and be forgotten forever instead. Treasure Planet on the other hand, deserved it's large and passionate fanbase (which I'm proud to be a part of) and didn't deserve to fail miserably in theaters at all.
@@aspirationsDelineation/videos Because Atlantis just isn't that good of a movie like TP is. So it's really not worth remembering at all. Nobody wants to be reminded that mediocre movies like Atlantis exist, you know.
@@1992disney It's more they don't care if they're reminded, not that they don't want to be reminded. Bad movies are where you don't want to be reminded usually.
The rule should be you have to say the whole movie title. You cant just say Indiana Jones or Pirates of the Caribbean. There is multiple ones so you should specify which one.
I just saw that movie listing on Netflix the other day and was planning on that being my wife's & my date move this weekend. Please let these awesome young folks know how happy their hard work is really making a lot of folks happy!
I wouldn't really consider Treasure Planet to be iconic persay due to the fact that it bombed so hard at the box-office and was totally forgotten about by both the majority of the public and especially Disney themselves all because of it. However, it's an underrated masterpiece that rightfully deserves a second chance to be truly iconic by having it be re-released in theaters in 3D, IMAX 3D, and 4DX with a much better marketing campaign and a much better release date when there's little to no competition. It even deserves to have it's very own franchise. Anybody agree with me?
How can you not know goonies?? It's literally referenced in the movie you play in multiple times. Plus Ke Huy Quan aka DATA aka Short Round is in the movie with you..... That frustrated the hell out of me lol.
Getting real tired of this: FIRST TIME [insert race/culture] is hitting the BIG screens! Even though there has been plenty of movies or shows representing that race/culture.
I know right, it could be the 1 millionth time and they still wouldn't appreciate it, I hate that I'm apart of gen z, and watching everyone in both mine and the generation before just decline at a rapid pace and I do not think it's gonna get any better.
Man, not gonna lie, Lindsay Watson looks like an exact replica of Naya Rivera. I literally did a double take thinking it was older footage. If they ever do a documentary for her, Lindsay could play her no doubt.
I’ve seen all of those movies so many times I got them all at the first second.. except Treasure Planet. I knew it after the full clip but that’s one Disney movie I never cared to watch. I also knew the last one would be their movie, but I haven’t seen it.
You should watch Treasure Planet because it's so damn good. It's considered to be by many that have seen it an underrated gem for a reason. It'll be worth your time. Trust me.
Well tbf, the movie is so underrated and forgotten by the majority of the public, especially Disney themselves all because of the fact that it flopped hard. So don't be mad at them just for not knowing or even remembering it. Blame Disney for making the movie unfairly unknown to the rest of the public eye.
I am watching Finding Ohana now on Netflix..... I was surprised to see the actor who was in The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom pop up in the film.
totally ripped off Goonies. The scene from Finding Ohana is a movie poster of Goonies. Them hanging from a rope, even the top guy had a bandana like Brand in Goonies!
Are you referring to the fact that they got most of the titles of the movies wrong but she gave them points anyway. said mummy, not the mummy. Said Indiana Jones: and the Raiders of the lost Ark, the movies title was Raiders of the lost Ark. Said Goonies, not the Goonies.
Owen gave the wrong answer in the first question. "Indiana Jones" is not the name of a movie and could be any of 3 movies (none the right one). The correct answer is "Riders of the Lost Ark" (Indiana Jones only appear in the title with the second movie, Temple of Doom), still Alex answer should be considered correct because in newer releases that is the name in the box Same for the Pirates of the Caribbean, which of the 5 movies is it? You still did not identified the movie
@@silentwraith7360 3 movies. Yes, there are 4 movies with Indiana Jones, but only 3 are called "Indiana Jones and (...)". Sorry but half-baked and no where as difficult as you normally do. Rather than the series name - they should be giving the full title. ie. PotC - Curse of the Black Pearl, seeing as there's now five of them (granted the later in the series the worse it gets)

Or forgotten
Now I wanna watch that movie
Such an underrated Disney movie. I love it
Let’s be honest we all know the word ohana from Lilo and stitch
Is it weird it’s been years, but I can recall Treasure Planet with just a picture?
Yes that movie was amazing
That movie was good. Sadly under rated.
I was genuinely suprised to see these people struggle so much with this
