    A.
    Is it to correct to say " a coffee "?. I feel, we must say, a cup of coffee , because coffee is an uncountable nown. ( like: a cup of tea, a cup of milk, a glass of water, and so on.)
    B.
    Can we use an article before words like dinner and lunch. I saw in one of your videos the usage, the lunch.
    It will be appreciated, lif I am enlightened.

    • @ruthjohnsonsenglishclass
      @ruthjohnsonsenglishclass  3 года назад

      What you said is right. A cup of tea is the right way of expression in formal English
      ( a tea sounds casual in spoken English).
      We don't use articles before them.
      Thanks for bringing up these points.

      'Subject to' has different meanings in Legal, and personal situations. Roughly we can say 'easily affected by', 'in danger of'..etc.
