Han had to write a new song for him because too many clueless people think Volcano is about a toxic relationship when the whole song is about love and devotion. That just shouts that it's a forbidden relationship but his "volcano" makes him, happy and is everything to him and how much they mean to him and that he would make the same choices all over again. So obviously im interpreting it as them singing it to each other, since the lyrics are so spot on to how they’ve talked about each other before.
