I'd seen the original short. It stopped my heart. I saw this one and had to see it. Horner is my favorite composer, and using his work seemed fitting for a fan edit in a fan film. I was enjoying it and knew the dialogue from STII of Spock reciting the Starfleet charter was coming... And then my heart stopped a second time. Now my eyes are wet and I can barely see. This was already a very respectful tribute, but what was done here respects both the tribute and the source material. Well done, and thank you.
Beautiful. This is how it should have been done. Its a shame people had to wait 30 or so odd years to see it. Hats off to every person who helped make this happen!!
I am glad this wasn't done at the end of Generations all those years ago - it hits much harder now that Leonard Nimoy has passed. Also for William Shatner it was his fond farewell to Leonard Nimoy as he did not attend his funeral and for Kirk it was his final moment with his best friend Spock It was a brilliant piece of cinematography, beautiful in every sense and for me as a fan of trek for almost 50 years it was perfection ❤
With forgiveness I was going to ask what the point of all this was. What you said I believe hit the nail on the head. This is Shatner saying goodbye to Nimoy in the guise of Kirk and Spock. Makes sense.
@doctorclu for me, it was two-way kirk and spock as we never saw that closure on screen, then Shatner showing love and appreciation for his long term fellow actor. I know the two had issues off screen but this was beautiful on Shatner's part to honour Nimoy and his memory Thank you for your kind words ❤️
Fans know what works. For better or worse, the fan films at least had the spirit of Star Trek in them which is more than could be said for the "mainstream" efforts.
You got me again... Can't help but cry as I watch this... It doesn't get better than the friendship of Kirk and Spock and this was a fantastic final send off we Star Trek fans deserved! Thanks for adding the music from the movies, it matched perfectly!
YES! Bravo. This music really makes it feel like Star Trek. The only other small thing I wanted was 2 words. When Kirk sits down by Spock, right before he opens his eyes, we hear Kirk say “Spock” with amazement and warmth. Then when the camera cuts back to Kirk we hear Spock say “Jim” in a raspy but happy/peaceful voice.
Fantastic watch those 12mins outshine most films in their entirety even today…the movie was so emotive and such a fitting conclusion to one of the best loved sci-fi programmes of all time…Not that I’m biased in way, I grew up watching the original series ..those memories are still so lucid today ..thanks for the VT
I loved the original, but with beautiful music and with Spock saying the Captains oath, it's just so much better! Thank you thank you so much for this.
If your human and saw star trek 2, 3, then this is one hell of a tribute. For anybody that doesn't think bill shatner loved nimoy is a fool. Nimoy also got too bent out of shape for being mad at Shatner at the end. This is William Shatners way of telling nimoy, i love your work as an actor, but i miss you as my friend. Our paths will cross again 1 day.
Everything no matter what or how hard they've tried. It always goes back to ,THE BEST & NEVER BETTERED. STAR TREK 2 😊😊😊. IT WAS LOVELY MUSIC 👌 👏 👍 FABULOUS, THANK YOU
Even though I loved the original track for this video, the 80's kid in me loves James Horner's score. I will say it is very fitting for these two. Awesome job.
A friendship that endured for many years with a beautiful end ….i write with tears in my eyes…just the way it should have been done along with the music from wrath of khan..made, great job on this edit pulled on all the right heart strings and more.
I have never been happier to be a Trek fan, than now. This was absolutely breathtaking. The acting, music cues were incredible. If I was a member of the Nimoy family I would be so very proud of this achievement. To all involved….Live Long and Prosper…..
Excellent job! James Horner's music is amazing and compliments your fan edit. If I may, only thing I would have done was take out the words arent you dead when kirk from star trek 2 appears, add the words, Jim, when spock sees kirk, and when his eye brow goes up, says the word fascinating. Otherwise a great fan made edit to this beautiful send off for the character all us trekkies love so much.
This video in general I love how you Incorporated the music and it's wonderful as to the original unification release all I can say is wow and it makes me want to see those three missing years from the 5-year mission using the original crew
This is incredible, I feel like I am in paradox time loop, where anything is possible..... So..... what are we waiting for!!! the Genesis of the Enterprise and her crew, as they have always done, finding a way to change the rules of the game, and survive.... Gentlemen, the mission continues!
People such as you keep good, classic Trek alive through your creative efforts despite studio attempts to destroy it. This is a wonderful job. Thank you for creating it.
I really enjoyed this short movie. What a great tribute to Leonard Nimoy, who l had the honour of meeting in Greece 🇬🇷 I happened to be visiting the island of Delos at the same time he was there!!! A really nice guy.,,,.how illogical that it made me cry. Illogical? only to a Vulcan.
As much as I love Michael Giacinno's score for this, the original music just puts it over the top. If only one word could have been spoken, it should have been Spock seeing his dear friend, to say "Jim". That's all.
Kirk: "Did we do it? Did we... make a difference?" Picard: "Oh, yes... we made a difference. Thank you..." "Kirk: "Least I could do, for the Captain of the Enterprise. It was.... Fun..." **Dissolve**
OTOY really needs to watch this and re-edit all the audio from scratch with you directing the audio. This audio is much much truer to the franchise original than OTOY's version. My heart felt the sadness and the joy even more now. Thank You :-)
I appreciate all the seies that have come after TOS but nothing has ever came close to what makes us feel about the friendship of Kirk, Spock and the crew that made up our Enterprise. Live long and prosper but take the second star to the right and straight on till morning!!
Seeing real Trek makes you realize what we've lost. Too rare is there a quite moment to build a story with solid acting. Gotta go for the flash and wiz bang and pushing esg and dei above all else. Star Trek was already diverse. There was no need to alter it.
When Kirk died in Generation movie people in the theater got pissed off and demanded their money back. People at that time said they should of ended with Kirk being introduced to the crew and promote Kirk to Admiral
That garden and those people aren’t or isn’t the afterlife it’s appears to be the possible medical team that brought Kirk back from death. Saavik and son Sorak are possibly directors of the project.
This works for me. No shade on the original but I've listened to the LOST soundtrack many many times over the years and this sounded more like LOST than Star Trek, it was basically the Life and Death Theme. Your version gives it the 'space brass' it was missing and feels better suited to the TOS era (for obvious reasons hah). I like having the Generations clip at the start too, although the volume's a little low, it's nice to see that added context and continuity. From waking up in the Nexus, to meeting an old friend, that was quite a day for James T Kirk...!
yes sir...this is what fits better...i told them just to put the classic ost...the search of spock is great for this...well done make a version please...and omit the generations clip
Well done. This was very emotional. For me, this is the best of Star Trek since the end of Star Trek DS9. I am sitting here watching this video, drinking my whiskey and crying like a bitch. Thanks for your hard work and beautiful fan edit.
I'd seen the original short.

❤
This is the definitive edit. The end of the scene in Generations plus Horner's WoK end theme. Perfection.
"I shall, and always will be...your friend."
I truly enjoyed Unification. To see Kirk and Spock again together for one last time brought me to tears.
Beautiful. This is how it should have been done. Its a shame people had to wait 30 or so odd years to see it. Hats off to every person who helped make this happen!!
I’m just Thankful even if he didn’t do the physical performance, the big man was still involved in making sure Kirk had a wonderful true send off.
I am glad this wasn't done at the end of Generations all those years ago - it hits much harder now that Leonard Nimoy has passed. Also for William Shatner it was his fond farewell to Leonard Nimoy as he did not attend his funeral and for Kirk it was his final moment with his best friend Spock

Fans are truly the preservers of what was good. Well done!
Fans know what works. For better or worse, the fan films at least had the spirit of Star Trek in them which is more than could be said for the "mainstream" efforts.
I really miss Nimoy, but more importantly I miss my dad who passed away this year back in Jan at 83 yrs old. Rest well dad I love u very much..
Sorry for you loss. Happy Thanksgiving. Live Long and Prosper.
Sorry for the loss of your dad. 🙏
Sorry for the loss of your beloved. May he remembered always. Live Long and Prosper
I lost my Dad Jan of 17 he was the man who got me hooked on Star Trek
Sorry for your loss, mine has been gone 7yrs now... but I will always remember his words...
Absolutely adored this. The original blew me away, but THIS...the musical score takes it to the stratosphere. Thank you.
You got me again... Can't help but cry as I watch this... It doesn't get better than the friendship of Kirk and Spock and this was a fantastic final send off we Star Trek fans deserved! Thanks for adding the music from the movies, it matched perfectly!

The score WE all wanted. Bravo
Beautifull this is what the true end/goodbye should be like.
I like this version, good job. The Star Trek 2 music is a good fit!!!
2 & 3
Stunning...true star trek❤
The definitive themes for these characters for me. Thank you for this.
thank you. as epic and emotional as it was to watch your work added a new dimension and i thank you.
I loved the original, but with beautiful music and with Spock saying the Captains oath, it's just so much better! Thank you thank you so much for this.
I agree with you. The music by horner and Goldsmith is beautiful and what trek is really about
If your human and saw star trek 2, 3, then this is one hell of a tribute.
For anybody that doesn't think bill shatner loved nimoy is a fool. Nimoy also got too bent out of shape for being mad at Shatner at the end.

wow that hit me even more then the original, James Horner is a genius and using his music is the perfect choice. Thanks for that!!
Everything no matter what or how hard they've tried.
It always goes back to ,THE BEST & NEVER BETTERED.
STAR TREK 2 😊😊😊.
IT WAS LOVELY MUSIC 👌 👏 👍
FABULOUS, THANK YOU
Even though I loved the original track for this video, the 80's kid in me loves James Horner's score. I will say it is very fitting for these two. Awesome job.
Excellent work!!! I do prefer this audio edit. It is far superior and really makes me feel like I’m watching a great episode of Star Trek: TOS.
Wow, thank you!
A friendship that endured for many years with a beautiful end ….i write with tears in my eyes…just the way it should have been done along with the music from wrath of khan..made, great job on this edit pulled on all the right heart strings and more.
It was logical that I hit the like button. Beautifully done.
Thanks. I'm crying but it's joy. thanks.
Excellent and very touching😊😊
Absolutely awesome, this is exactly how it should've been! Incredible talent! Unbelievable well done! :)
That 60s kirk was perfect to see!
This was beautiful in every aspect. Thank you for making such a fine piece of art. It is truly appreciated. Peace and long life 🖖
I enjoyed this a lot. The music was well chosen. I was surprised there was no reunion with David, though. That would have been powerful as well.
I have never been happier to be a Trek fan, than now. This was absolutely breathtaking. The acting, music cues were incredible. If I was a member of the Nimoy family I would be so very proud of this achievement.
To all involved….Live Long and Prosper…..
🖖😎👍Very totally cool and very nicely greatly well done indeed Sir's!.

Damn it man that was good. I've been wondering when someone would do this.👍❤️
wow i didnt expect to cry again. good edits good add. ❤
This is even better than the original.
Awesome job! 👍🏼

Great movie . Thank you Kirk and spok or Shatner and Nimoy .you only did the True meaning of Star trek
No words, just tears... Thank you! 😥🖖🏾
Very well done. 100% enjoyed it
Really well done. Thank you for this
For me 100% Love to Spock and Kirk
Incredible

Illogical? only to a Vulcan.
There are parts of this that reminiscent of the final part of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Well made...and a nice nod to Leonard.
I can’t be the only one who watched this and felt, sans dialog, “THIS is what all the hype is about?”
As much as I love Michael Giacinno's score for this, the original music just puts it over the top. If only one word could have been spoken, it should have been Spock seeing his dear friend, to say "Jim". That's all.
Fascinating and Magnificent
Kirk: "Did we do it? Did we... make a difference?"
Picard: "Oh, yes... we made a difference. Thank you..."
"Kirk: "Least I could do, for the Captain of the Enterprise. It was.... Fun..."
**Dissolve**
Hi I love this it's so good to see the captain of the enterprise back with spock. Bring more on.😊😊😊
amazing. Could weep x
The music 😢❤🍻
OMG, that, was really something.
Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
OTOY really needs to watch this and re-edit all the audio from scratch with you directing the audio.
This audio is much much truer to the franchise original than OTOY's version.
My heart felt the sadness and the joy even more now.
Thank You :-)
It says nothing but says so much bravo great work
Perfect! Perfect! Congratulations.
This looks so good.Ten out of ten
A fitting end to the original series. As it should have been all along.
TREMENDOUS
I enjoyed this unusual video! Amazing!
Perfect 🥹👍🏻
I appreciate all the seies that have come after TOS but nothing has ever came close to what makes us feel about the friendship of Kirk, Spock and the crew that made up our Enterprise. Live long and prosper but take the second star to the right and straight on till morning!!

Yes! Yes!! Yes!!! ❤ Thank you for this wonderful film.
it brought a tear to my eye
Horner's music is a good choice and it fits with the Genesis music.
OMG! My heart hurts!
Thank you for the James Horner
When Kirk died in Generation movie people in the theater got pissed off and demanded their money back. People at that time said they should of ended with Kirk being introduced to the crew and promote Kirk to Admiral
Very,very well done. Thanks
To boldly go where no one has gone before 😊
Well done, indeed. Live long and prosper.
Amazing how well it synced up. Well done on the edit
Just a tad of editing... the original worked really well
Beautiful. Thank you
Priceless...
Couldn’t hear “oh my”
WOW!
Perfect
I’m a ball of mush. Thanks to you and James Horner’s soundtrack
Perfect. Tears.
Goosebumps engaged
wow, the feels, very powerful
Adding Spocks closing monologue from TWoK is superb.
That garden and those people aren’t or isn’t the afterlife it’s appears to be the possible medical team that brought Kirk back from death. Saavik and son Sorak are possibly directors of the project.
Fascinating…
Kirk is not dead, he was revived.
That's amazing!
Great job with the soundtrack!

This isn't just a farewell to Kirk and Spock its goodbye to Star Trek for me .
Thank you, thank you.
And the fan mice cheer!!
Simplesmente Perfeito.
Thanks for the remake👍
