I love how SEGA tried including extra Coins as one of the bonuses for the Deluxe version when you can literally just go into Debug Mode and give yourself infinite Coins 💀

Interesting trivia about blue hyper sonic. The game treats him as normal and hyper sonic. Meaning you can still take damage, but still have hyper sonic's abilities.
And because the game treats you as sonic, the sprite stays the same in act two. You still have hyper sonic's abilities in act two and you can’t drown while in this state! You do not have Hyper Sonic's speed, but his double jump is still a screen nuke.
Although do be careful not to enter a bonus or special stage, otherwise you'll lose the glitch.
That being said, when first preforming this glitch, you do get Hyper Sonic's speed. And even though you get the double jump, do be aware that any elemental shield abilities will overwrite it. To get it back, just simply lose the shield.
You also lose it after completing a zone.
There’s also a certain amount of hyper monitors you need to break. Achieving this glitch makes it so you don’t lose rings.
Interestingly, picking up a shield does not appear in this state. And picking up air does in fact work, even though you can’t drown.
Dying loses the glitch.
As far as I know, you might still have the instashield in this state.
To sum it up: The game thinks you’re normal sonic and you have hyper sonic's abilities. It will also play the super/hyper music, but only during the act you're in.
Update: Hydrocity Act 2's intro cancelled the glitch, but Angel Island's didn’t. I guess cutscenes into different acts also loses the glitch?
Update 2: In this state, the “gravity switch”, as I like to call it, for debug mode stops working.
Update 3: Okay, so the hyper speed can be a little inconsistent. Sometimes you'll have hyper sonic's speed and sometimes you won’t. But I think the jump height is hyper's and you do get the double jump 100% as far as I know.
Update 3.5: Hyper's regular jump may also be inconsistent.
Update 4: I don’t know if this is possible to obtain, but you can’t smash into walls like hyper can.
Unrelated, but using debug mode after the results screen of Hydrocity Act 2 crashes the game, at least on the switch.

The capsules on the death egg one is exactly what sonic has been racing for all this time.
Every boss and every zone and every special stage has led him to that very scene.

A funny thing about the debug mode in Sonic 3... cycle the power up you get from the monitors and... you'll find unused power ups like the normal shield from Sonic 1 and 2, the Sonic 2 vs mode power ups AND... Knuckles Chaotix/Sonic Mania blue ring (the funny part about this blue ring, it glitches out the ring counter of the HUD... BUT it will fullfill it's intended purpose if you take a hit without a shield and a high amount of Rings (those rings will disperse in a lower ammount but big and of course, easier to recover).
Oho, looks like origins should have like mania in some form.

What would happen if you used the goal post in Wing Fortress Zone, Death Egg Zone (Sonic 2) or Hidden Palace Zone (Sonic 3)? I'm just saying this because they could be considered as acts for other zones.
Well the wing fortress one is answered in the video… it just sends you to death egg…

@@Rayvc12 go to sonic 1’s title screen, input up down left right when sonic appears, you should hear a ring sound if you did it correctly. Then press start, and go to sound select. Input 1, 9, 9, 1, 0, 6, 2, 3
You should hear a ring chime, then go to any level and press whatever your secondary jump button is (on xbox it’s B by default). Your primary jump button (Xbox A by default) will be to cycle through items, and your super sonic button (Xbox Y by default) is to place them. If you want to exit the object placement mode, press your secondary jump button again.
I don’t know how for 2, CD, or 3 just yet

Since y’all don’t know for sonic two in sonic three I’ll Tell y’all for sonic 2 On the title screen of sonic two press up up up down down down left right left right and when you get to the level select to get debug mode go to the sound test on level select and enter this 1 9 9 2 1 1 2 4 and now for sonic three in the title screen press up up down down up up up up and then when you press start go down and then you’ll see sound test press that no for debug mode for sonic three go to sound test and enter 1 9 9 4 1 0 1 8. For sonic cd I don’t know

Dude after that, i remembered in sonic 2 mobile the time when online multiplayer was in the game
pretty sure if you spawn a S monitor in debug mode in sonic 1 or 2 go out of debug mode to collect the monitor then go back into debug mode as soon as the transformation starts and go out of it again you will turn into yellow sonic. normal sonic with super sonics pallete and normal sonics sprites

edit: as of the newest patch they have removed coin monitors from debug
It's actually possible to turn Sonic 3&K into Sonic & Knuckles with a glitch using Debug Mode, Hyper Sonic & the S Monitors. Just wondering if they patched it out in Origins?
Sonic 3 & Knuckles here is using a different engine so it's definitely patched out because of that

Just start the game once while online and you're good to go... unless they reverted to version 1, where it demands that you start the game while online every time.
How did you get insta shield in s1
Wait so there is super sonic in sonic one in origins but just not accessible unless debug mode
You can go into level select and choose to have 7 emeralds available. Then you just play the game and play through the extra special stage and you have super sonic. You can also select to have sonic 3 shields in your play through, this option also gives you the instashield move. You can also choose to play as sonic and tails in sonic one. Only issue is that there is no save feature.

There was a glitch in the original game to play S&K on it's own.

I did time attack and did all zones in under 25 minutes
and then I did all special stages in 4 minutes
and there’s a sound test now you have to put 12.11 and then if you see tails that means you got it

You need to go to sonic 1 and do up down left right then enter and then when you enter it will show a stage select go to the tracks and do this [1,9,9,1,2,3,6] then if you hear a sound you did it correctly and then select a level
