- An officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has been confirmed dead while attending an engagement with a committee of the House of Representatives.
A statement signed by the House Spokesman/Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Akin Rotimi, Jr., on Tuesday, said the officer developed “sudden health complications” during the engagement, which occurred around 1.00 pm.
He said, “It is with deep sadness and regret that we confirm the passing of an esteemed official of the Nigeria Customs Service who was at the National Assembly for an engagement with a House Committee.
“During the engagement, which occurred around 1.00 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the official developed sudden health complications. Despite the immediate and diligent efforts of first responders and medical personnel at the National Assembly Clinic, he unfortunately passed away”.

This should be investigated. The DCC was given sincere account of everything and we know that many people wouldn't be happy with that. I suspect poison 😢

Oooh Nigeria 🇳🇬, when will Nigeria be medically developed? Just because someone slumps and the heart stops, it doesn’t mean death has occurred. Immediate CPR may be able to restart the heart pending transfer to the hospital. Did this man get CPR? Was there an AED device in that building, was there any medical personnel on standby in that building? Every Nigerian above the age of 13yrs should be taught CPR, it’s a life saver.
RIP sir, but why was he the one talking? The 2 officers flanking him outrank him, to his left is his immediate superior and the man to his right is equivalent to a General officer.

He probably suffered a heart attack due to pressure or stress at that particular moment. If that's the case, I wonder what was going on in his mind as he was presenting the information. It could also be a spiritual attack. Everyone, should always stay prayerful. God always protects his children. 🙏

The 2 officers knew he wasn't feel ine and they were expecting something to happen at any time. Their body language said it all.
