Well...... The season's get better and its all about if you're interested in the show.
Not many prople are reacting to Xena, so that's good for the audience that loves it.
However, most prople that know of Xena are a bit older. Like me.
I would say only continue it if you're loving the show. I love Xena.
By the end of the first season you will either love or hate the series. If you love it then halfway through the second season you'll be so addicted you would unalive your own mother for one more episode. I know this cuz I was raised on it. I watched it when it aired.
I hope you continue to watch Xena. It gets better as the Season goes on, and without getting into spoilers but to help you decide to continue to watch, is that Gabrielle does change -- there is actually character development, for both actually. Although the show can be campy at times, most of the time, it does have some serious episodes as well. This show broke a lot of barriers in it's time. This show showed that you can have two main characters being women and hold their own and not be rescued by men. This was a big deal for the early to mid-90's. The relationship between Xena and Gab is a dynamic one that grows throughout the seasons. It's great to see new folks getting into the show.

The Xena show was iconic back in the day, it also had a huge gay fan base.
Give it full season or so. There's many die hard fans that will definitely watch your reactions..

Xena season 1 at first is quite cute and wholesome for the most part, they started figuring out the tone and characters better by the second half of the season.. you'll probably enjoy season 2 onwards as it gets progressively darker and gayer.. I'm here for it, love your thoughts and analysis of the episodes

To check out how well-liked the various episodes were through the series, I looked at their rankings on IMDB. Here's the percentage of episodes per season that were ranked 8.0 or above:
Season 1: 4%
Season 2: 18%
Season 3: 32%
Season 4: 5%
Season 5: 9%
Season 6: 5%
Season 3 n 4 were best for me.
Please keep watching, my mam thought it was going to be shit at first, you should of seen her at season 3, she was hooked.
Xena is a great show and it really picks up in season 2. Love all th reactors that react to it but most of them end up moving it to patreon because they run into blocking issues. Hopefully you dont have thos issues.
Wait until the episode that starts with Gabrielle becoming an Amazon princess. the Amazons being a race of warrior women. Season 1 episode 10

OH sorry the I just remembered it was right of cast in the opening you don't find out what that means till a little bit later. My bad. It's been 20 something years. Trust me the series really starts to find it's footing around the same time as that episode.
Yes, the first season (particularly the first half) is still the most cheesey part of the show (I´m also not a big fan of the 5th & 6th seasons), but it does get better, with some really good arcs (also for Gabrielle) and interesting recurring characters (incl. villains). So I hope you keep reacting to them, and that the reactions don´t get blocked (fingers crossed)
