Anytime you enter a room you acknowledge everyone in it, regardless if you know them or not it's called manners. I think it was pretty rude that she acknowledge everyone but Usher.....I think Usher handled it well, and plus he won lol

Theres a difference from somebody who isnt used to being infront of an audience, with huge celbrities and a GOLD FUCKING MEDAL in your hands, but if your so narcissistic to totally blow off and be a jerk to a person who has represented our country and won just because they didnt shake your hand, then you have a problem
When the young lady walked out on stage she only acknowledged the people that gestured to her. Jimmy and Reece both opened their arms and walked towards her. Usher was the only one that never moved to suggest he was open to a hug or a handshake. Body language says a lot and his says he didn’t want to have her greet him.
It's more rude to assume that somebody is being rude instead of just a little confused about what to do in a social situation. Everybody experiences social awkwardness/confusion sometimes, especially when being introduced to a group, and some people are more prone than others to difficulty with sensing the most socially-expected behavior in any given situation.
Many of us can only bring ourselves to leave the house by relying on the hope that others won't make negative assumptions about our characters for things like this. Comments and assumptions like this can really be harmful.

To all the negative comments,
Mikaela is an Olympic athlete so she is not used to the limelight the way movie/music stars are. She just plays sports, which means she hasn't been learning the TV etiquette. Also, she is only 19. 19 is quite young for a person who is not a famous actor/actress. When she went in front of the cameras and the live audience, not in her comfort zone (i.e. not on snow), time probably was flying by quickly. It probably was quite nerve racking. I am also fairly certain they all already met backstage, and Reese was just acting all surprised because she knows that's what you are supposed to do. Also, she is not a TV entertainer, so she doesn't realize that these games are just games to entertain the audience - it isn't about winning, whereas Reese completely understands this as she is older and is an entertainer.
As for Reese, it is easy to sit here and judge. Have you never played a board game like Pictionary/Taboo/catchphrase before? When you are under time pressure, thinking of easy things can be quite difficult. These guys aren't professional gamers.
Usher not hugging Mikaela was probably because he wasn't sure if she wanted to or not. Since she didn't hug him initially, he probably thought she was uncomfortable for whatever reason. I am the same way. Not everyone knows how to act in front of other people. You guys just watch too much TV. Usher was probably just in that awkward zone, where he didn't know if he should hug her or not. Usher may already know Reese so he can be more forward, but doesn't know Mikaela. This is just how normal shy people act, and it is easy to judge sitting in front of your computer screen.

Jimmy meets all of his guests before they start recording the show, but just because he shakes their hands or hug them when they come out to see the audience for the first time, does not mean they were meeting for the first time that day. Most of the celebrities who come on shake hands or hug again for "show."
2) Reese is pretty smart. She managed to give clues to her partner about Germany without yelling "HITLER!" She's been in the public eye long enough to know when saying certain things would offender people. Imagine the hate mail she would get from German fans if she immediately associated Germany with Hitler on national TV for the purpose of a talk show game skit.
