Not very surprised with those figures, frankly. The 7oo, the Safari too give similar or better FE figures in similar conditions. Coming to think of it, my 11 year old ARIA gives better FE than this, without cruise control and automatic transmission ! Whatever BRIT badges one puts around, it remains a Chinese box BTW.

Dude XUV700, Safari, etc. weigh more than half a ton less than the Gloster and are also more aerodynamic. Not to forget that Gloster has 2 turbos and thus produces more power and torque. So, you shouldn't expect it to provide any better mileage ngl. And as far as Gloster being Chinese is concerned, lemme tell you one thing straight. You can't eradicate our dependence on Chinese materials no matter what you do (at least not in the near future). Do you really think Tata uses 100% Made In India materials to build its cars? From electrical parts to raw materials, there are a ton of things that actually could be sourced from China.
