Mate and I used to race a 1380cc Mini on grass, up against loads of big engine Escorts with big, fat tyres that "floated" over the track. . We found that 135mm tyres cut through to solid ground. Won virtually every race in our final farewell season and retired as Champion of Champions. (Another mate even built a 6 wheeler Hot Rod reminiscent of the F1 Tyrell P34).
Great fun! I used to do similar in my old ‘67 MG midget. I can just see you and Mrs P having a whale of a time. 😂😂. Like when Mrs P had a ride in the wheel barrow but better!
I'm sure I've seen some panels in. Good to see the old cars being used and enjoyed, there's a motorcycle hill climb thingy at Corse on the Worcester Road.
Took me back to the 50's BBC saturday afternoons. Hill climbs just like this which got us kids all motivated to build a banger capable of driving over muddy fields. No success unfortunately!!
Great video! Having watched your channel for many years, somehow I've not seen previous videos of the MTCC hill-trials event - looks great fun but sadly out off my budget! Ever the gentleman, @Farmer_P on standby for possible rescues!🤗
Ian.. knowing you've stood by on rescue duties for numerous years .. how many times have you thought about having a go for a laugh.. we know you liked the two wheel side of freedom 😂.. stay safe 🏴

@@robertallardice8119 I watched his assessment of the IT policy, took an almost instant dislike to the chap, it was quite obvious to me where his Allegiance lay, he’s no friend of the landowner, or farmer.
Safety at street works and road works. I was taught to follow the rules of the little red book, Chapter 8 and chapter 12. These two signs alone don't comply with the code, but they had no signs at all, so I offered a couple of our SLOW ones just to help.
Cones should always be placed next to a temporary sign as such signs are as a warning ie possible hazard. Think for example about signs at a temporary road works or temporary traffic lights that have a sign with a cone. It's called highway legislation

Dodgy mud flow. If they were on a bike they would wear crash helmets.in a little car, strange how they think the stuff they may hit their head on must be different than a biker would on the same trail .

That looks like great fun I bet Emma and Milkey could do that 👍👍👍👍👍
I would love to watch something like that this time of year when it’s dark and wet what a great way to spend a few hours
A very good Monday evening to you all

I remember the BBC used to televise these events back in the 50's and 60's.
Back in the days when BBC Sport realised there are sports out there that aren’t bloody football…..
Looks like fun 😃 you did this last year and they could get up the hill .
Thankyou . Cheers .
That looks really good fun ( not electric ) thank god.

Its called Trialling Ian (a Trial).
A great non damaging cheap form of motor sport.
Is "Slow" a reference to vehicular speed,or the driver's intellect?
Looks great fun

@FarmerP yes absolutely correct cones at temporary traffic warning signs are as per chapter 8 part of legislation for highways safety
