A music producer who was a judge on the Shadow Brasil program in which Gabriel sang live many times (these performances are on his channel), said that it's impressive how much he is in tune live, whether he autotunes or doesn't autotune. In these videos like Earth Song there are effects (reverb, delay, I don't know the names), but the man has a big voice, as seen in his stories where he sings only with his cell phone. Loved your reaction and I totally get you! The first time I heard Gabriel like 2 months ago I was completely blown away and was like WTF? He is simply amazing and ever since I listened to him for the first time I have to listen to him over and over again. Out of this world! And he continues to blow me away with every single video he puts out there. So make sure to check out his other stuff, too!
