I have plenty respect for Tom, he just do not give a fuck about what people think, still funny and still making great music, and of course his music made our youth way better.
I think it's funny he said he used his signature Strat on Dude Ranch considering he played a Les Paul during most of that era and he didn't get that signature guitar until enema of the state. Then again, I guess he had that white Fernandes Strat copy with all the stickers all over it during so maybe that's what he was referring to.
I might be wrong but I think he used his les paul more on cheshire cat and earlier stuff. Theres a really old video of them playing wasting time live and hes using that.
both of you are a bit off. He used a bootleg strat in cheshire cat it was a guitar company that made fender strat look alikes. Then in dude ranch era he used a les paul
+Agustin Guzman yeah that "bootleg" strat was made by a company called Fernandes. I believe you can see it up close in the music video for M+M's during the clips of the band playing.
+chrstncday yep exactly he uses the clone strat im cheshire era and in dude ranch he used it still but also switched back in forth between the clone strat and the les paul thats why you see the clone strat in the Dammit video but you see him playing Voyeur on a late show in like 98 and he uses the Les Paul.
Cleveland Steamer oh okay, cuz I'm tryna get a sound like him. The sound like in take of your pants and jacket and enema. Anything you reccomend for about 500 or less?
Any strat - squier or copy - as long as it has the seymour duncan invader bridge pickup. A mesa mini rectifier is probably the most affordable amp I can think of that's closest to that sound. Impossible to get for under 500 mainly cause amps are expensive. Definitely worth it though.
yeah i am pretty sure he used to play something else prior enema at least... old live videos i think show him playing whatever else i cant recall right now
He had the wine red LP Standard with the billabong sticker (in Josie video) and he had a white Strat with a descendants sticker on the headstock and other various stickers on the body (in dammit video).
Plus the guitar was pretty small and Tom is huge. So if you compare a strat to a 333 there's a big difference. I'm the same height as Tom and I prefer the 333 over the tiny strat
Seabee156 I have played several strats, and sadly never have I even seen a 333. I want to play one so bad. Although, I’m shorter so I don’t feel the strat is real small. But, I can’t know until I play the 333.
Talking about his Surf one right? I have a 2002 TD strat and yeah you're right. It didn't have a backplate to unscrew. I noticed that. My favorite guitar and possession
Nick Heal well, he wasn't working with them by choice, he may not have said "i quit", but he stopped playing with them, before he was replaced. that is why I look at it more as he quit vs he was fired, because if he didn't stop working with them by his own choice, he would still be with them.

93%... Ah Ah! Oh Tom, I love you man.
i love how in the beginning it was all deep and serious and then towards the end tom just started acting like a goof. i fucking love tom!
Profesional vandalism haha

+llama shockz i think I've seen that. If it's the same video I'm thinking of, that was from '97 which was dude ranch era

I go to his To The Stars store every once in a while and everytime I go I always hear The Joshua Tree playing in the background. ^_^
any chance of hearing about Billie Joe's history there?
That Would be cool
i just asked Haven on twitter and he agreed that it would be rad 😁👍
I will wait
Siempre el mejor Tom! 👌❤👊👊🔥🔥🔥
interesting to see the es333 with a single coil in it!
I think that's his baritone model - not too sure
Zac Hogan its not.
That's Tom's signature. His Fender only had the bridge pickup as well.
AWESOME, cant wait for the rest of this
There's a typo in the url in the description.
lol I love his ford cap !
The ending was hilarious!
1:53 muahahha Looking C00L !!
oo yeah this is what i waiting for haha
What riffs is tom playing like what song??
name of the song at the beginning?
What amp was he saying that started blink 182 with?
Mesa Boogie Rectifier
Cleveland Steamer oh, and what did he use for his cab?
Can't tell in the video, the cabs are unmarked. I imagine it was either a marshall or mesa 4X12, probably with Celestion V30s.

he recorded cheshire cat and dude ranch with a strat? I thought he had a gibson during dude ranch
yeah i am pretty sure he used to play something else prior enema at least... old live videos i think show him playing whatever else i cant recall right now
i think i remembered seeing tom using Les paul in some pictures in the early years of Blink 182
it was a les paul with like a slipknot sticker on it or some shit lol
He had the wine red LP Standard with the billabong sticker (in Josie video) and he had a white Strat with a descendants sticker on the headstock and other various stickers on the body (in dammit video).
he used les pauls live but he probably just used strats to record
Tom=God
What's the name of the song he's playing at the beginning?
I'm pretty sure its just improv. Sounds nice though.
he used his black strat in box car vid ironically
What about the Les Paul?
he just did not give a fuck about that most important guitar, green stratocaster...
He's hated blink for a long time
A.L. otter who
Dan Catelani I wish he showed off and talked about the stickered strat from the Cheshire Cat era, along with his Les Paul with the Billabong sticker.
Soooo he stop playing the fender because of his fucking height???
Nateskates182 well he felt that a larger guitar suited him. He felt that he'd be able to play better

that is not the exact signature. most likely an early prototype. the diehards know the differences that can be seen in this video.

There’s a cut in the pickguard for a selector switch. There’s something else too, I can’t remember. Was this one not a hard tail?
Free masons?
he joined thinking it was a cool cult and realised what it was
i luv you tohmas and i luv 98% degreez!!@@ Kappa LUL ;-} find me tom lets make beatuful music together!!!@@
fender>Gibson
bet he wishes he didn't quit blink.
He didn't quit, he was fired

.
LostinOC "Quit" still isn't the word though. Maybe unorganised or uncommitted or something like that?
