- Why is Mahakala associated with miracles and protection in Tibetan Buddhism? What do crows, three men in black, black dogs, black horses and black wolves have to do with Black Mahakala? How can wrathful Black Mahakala be considered none other than Chenrezig, Avalokiteshvara, the Lord of Compassion? In this short documentary, we answer these questions, and more, and end with a magnificent chanting of six-armed Mahakala's mantra by Yoko Dharma!
Crows, black dogs, wolves, horses and the "Men in Black" are recurring themes in many Tibetan Buddhist legends of Mahakala.
Mahakala is so well loved as a Protector that he is often simply called "The Great Black" and "The Lord."
Having a dream featuring a crow or black horse or black wolf is considered highly auspicious by many devout followers of Black Mahakala....

I wept. I think I am drawn to him more than any other. I am a devotee of Kali and Mahakala seems to fill out that devotion, I feel complete, if that makes any sense. What is this love that overwhelms me when I look at his visage? I will not give up until the answers become complete to me.
Kali is protector and Mahakala is wrathful form of Boddhisattva Avalokistavara. Kali is Deva and Boddhisattvas are beyond Deva.

Jai 🙏 mahakal Bhairav maharaj ki 🙏 in Indian culture we pray same deity as protector by the name of Kal (Dark) Bhairav… Kshetrapal meaning the Protector! .. Word Mahakal is usually reserved for Shiva the god of Compassion and Meditation similar to Avatilokeshwara…har har mahadev. Vajrayana Bhuddism has its roots in Buddhism from Indian Tantra and takes the knowledge, if I may use word Wisdom to next level. Every devotee of Kal Bhairava must see this video🙏 great job people and thank you for spreading knowledge 🤍

What do you mean with "it will surprise in just days"?
Some years ago I tried some meditations with the image of Mahakala and instead it came to my mind the name of Avalokiteshvara. I tried to search in the web this conection but could not find it at the time. I'm happy that now I have the confirmation.
I had a strong visualization of Mahakala and didn't know who he was. My brain shifted it to a black ox/bull with a ring because I know that. Now I am here, 30 or so minutes later, spontaneously through RUclips recommendations. Wow.

The Khenpo Karthar Rinpiche was the Khenpo at the Karma Triyana Dharma Chackra Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Woodstock NY.
He was the real deal. He did 12 yrs retreat in a cave. He was my Guru and a special Spritual friend.
May the full moon of his rebirth arise soon.
Lama Yesher, who was Geluk tradition, recommended Khenpo Kartar Rimpoche, who was Kargyu tradition, to me for when I returned to the states, so you know Khenpo Kartar Rimpoche was a great lama. He has passed now, but we hope for his quick return to see him again before we pass away ourselves. It will be a great blessing to see his youthful face again.
