@djbuckaroo9258 I saw thr kickin record...I didn't think it was that label....you have the 6 tracker ep.... I've googled the tune and it's £30 min! Bugger! I like that tune as well....I've got an mp3 of it but sure I haven't got the vinyl....I might treat my self...? Thanks for your help.
@@djbuckaroo9258I'm gonna try and get some more mixes up and build my channel this year...had to close a few accounts in the past due to tossers and trolls....
I hadn't but I've just set them playing and I really like what I'm hearing. Got that old skool feel with a new edge. Have you heard my breakbeat mix of my unreleased tracks? ruclips.net/video/YEtU0aTRAmg/видео.html
I'm all good man, hope you're well too. I've got a mate to convert some old video camera tapes, there's one from one of the Premonition nights on Union street. I'll share it over the next couple of weeks.
Awesome mix mate, I really enjoyed that, a blend of some absolute classic's plus some I've not heard in decades - you've got some serious skills. What mixer are you using? I vaguely remember a mate of mine having something similar in the '90s while I was still learning on a crappy Gemini 2 channel and belt drives. I like the retro look of it.
Next time I do a mix I think I'll consult you before I do the tracklist 🤣. Yeah you're right, I think someone else has uploaded the wrong version online when I was looking up the name. On the record I have (which is a bootleg I think) it's named "Acen- Trip To The Moon (1 + 2)" so I've changed it to that.
Thank you for the mix. It was ok. The trouble with this and hundreds of others online, is that DJ's who have this 'original vinyl only' fascination, are seriously limited to playing the same rinsed, bashed, anthems that we have all heard 10000 times already and are sick to death of hearing. I'd much rather hear other tunes which never get played but are just as good, and in many cases even better. The original vinyl for the rare tunes is either very expensive or in most cases unobtainable, so Serato (or similar) is the only option. This should not be seen as 'inferior' or looked down on though, because every vinyl DJ now, plays through a computer, streaming software, etc, and the audio is digital anyway, so in most cases a good quality digital file sounds much better than some 30+ year old battered vinyl playing through an analogue-to-digital converter. I guess the old myth that mixing with vinyl on turntables is the 'only true way' is still popular. I make this comment as a 55 year old, who started DJ-ing in 1980, and still DJ to this day, playing Oldskool from 89-93 mostly, and never EVER play anthems. This is easy for me to do, as I have collected 38,000 oldskool digital audio tracks over the past 20 years.
Those MP3 rips are from old, battered vinyls with suspect recording conditions. Unless they are remastered and released digitally, they are not better at all. Put the wave forms from rips in Audacity, and they look and sound pretty bad, not to mention BPMs wavering all over the place. Unless you recorded the songs yourself to ensure quality, making sure you know exactly how to get the best quality, then putting a metronome alongside them to make sure the BPM doesn't wander around.......battered vinyl is still better and mixing on vinyl and doing it well is still more impressive than digital.
@@iancowley_DJ I'm afraid I disagree with some of your comments, and will explain, but I also agree with some of your comments. I have searched out good rips, many WAV, some 320kbps MP3, and did rip my own vinyl collection which was in very good order. A good % of my digital files are straight from the labels, who have released digital files direct from the original DAT or Master Tape. The rest I have obtained sometimes a dozen rips of the same tune, and picked the best rip, not everyone's vinyl is knackered, it just takes a bit of work finding a good rip. So battered vinyl is not 'still better' at all, if you are comparing it to a really good rip from a mint vinyl, is it ? And every time that vinyl is played/mixed, it wears and gets worse, not the case with a digital file. Mixing on vinyl is of course much harder and requires more skill, I'm 55 years old, and spent 30+ years mixing on vinyl, I 'get' the whole vinyl thing. My point was specifically with mixes streamed online, it's converted to digital anyway, so it makes absolutely no difference if the starting point is vinyl or digital. Do you think the vast majority of listeners really care if the mix is done on vinyl or digital ? They don't give a toss, and probably wouldn't know the difference in the skill required between vinyl and using a controller. I love vinyl, and always champion it's advantages, but for online mixes, there is absolutely no point wearing out your expensive and rare oldskool 12" collection, just to play a digital stream to 20 listeners, it's pointless, you may as well play digital files and keep your precious vinyl in good condition.
@@DjNikGnashers You have Soul Seek. Big wow. Even the WAV rips are in poor shape. Just because it says WAV doesn't mean it was recorded in perfect conditions by somebody who knows what they are doing. You can download 5 different versions of a vinyl rip and the WAV version is not guaranteed to be the best version. >Do you think the vast majority of listeners really care if the mix is done on vinyl or digital ? Not even the point. You said the quality of digital vinyl rips surpasses the vinyl itself. Untitled - E.Q. Addict is straight out of a megaman ost
Dope mix
I'd love it if Untitled - E.Q. Addict did turn out to be from Megaman. I've been trying to hunt down that sample for years.
Old school! 😍
great mix!!! love the slipmats too ;)))

I never understand why mixers now have 100s of effects and no transform buttons. That's why I always kept this one.
