Thanks Ant, love what you do with your tool refreshes. IMO those adjustable spanners were good for their time but can't really go toe to toe with some of the quality tools made today. I've seen others do lots of work to get the jaws to mate up well but a the expense of lots of time and material removed from the tool. What really boggles my mind are the "restorers" who go to extreme lengths to remove casting texture and then polish everything to a mirror shine.
Thanks 👍I appreciate that, yep I agree, they were the technology of the time, not a patch on some of the new tools, but then again some vintage tools are amazing still. Yep, sort of like having them as they were , if that makes sense
You got that right!, yep a lot of tools are rusty or stuck , or just been abused over the decades, it’s nice to just today em up, some can be used, some perhaps not 🤣🤣🤣
Hey Ant, I love collecting lion brand egele Eagle brand and snail brand I must make a film of them all for you. I will make one soon of my collection for you.
@@tony1721 all good here Ant had a bit of a cold left me with a squeaky voice not good for RUclips. My door is always open and the kettle is always on when you find yourself passing junction 10 on the M6.
It would have been nice to see how you cleaned up the tools so well rather than just the results. I have many old tools and like what you did but dont know how, chemical abrasive etc?
Next time! I will. I just used a file and a wire wheel and 5 mins in the polisher, I didn’t think anyone would be interested 🤣🤣🤤🤤thanks for watching , I appreciate the comment too ☺️
