You gals are my favorite flosstubers, love watching you and seeing your shop updates. Jamie I think you should go ahead and cut your hair and if you decide that it is not what you like it will grow back, not a permanent decision. I had always had long hair (3”- 4” inches past my shoulders) my whole life and cut it about 2 years ago and I love it. So much easier to for me, just blow dry and go. Give it a try.

I’m enjoying your flosstube. I guess I will finish it tomorrow, taking care of some friends dogs. I would recommend to the new quilter to try a simple pattern first. Many years ago I did an Eleanor Burns Log cabin for my second quilt. I always thought that should have been my first. I don’t know if the book has been reprinted, but it was excellent step by step guide. A person that does quilting tutorials uses a five lb dumb bell at the end of her long ruler! Duh, what a great idea! Quilting and exercising arm muscles at the same time. I’m on team don’t cut your hair. When you are doing all the yard work, you won’t be able to put it in a ponytail.

Yes to the haircut Jamie - and now I want to see your crazy curls. I used to straighten my hair all the time and it took a while to find the right products to wear it naturally but it is so much easier now. And Terri, I have One Nation too - maybe we should SAL it?

Jaime go for it! A pixie would look cute and very easy to take care of.

You do whatever you want with your hair - I started wearing my hair shorter when I was 55. My oldest daught is turning 50 this year and she said everyone tells her she will look younger with her ponytail. Who knows?! But if you cut it and don't like it, know it will grow pretty fast. Hope you enjoy the retreat.

Another fun video! I think it would be fun to see you in short hair, Jamie. Think how cool it will feel on those hot, humid Nebraska summer days. I am also working on The Colors of Water. I started using DMC. First block (upper left) was beautiful. Next block on top was greens. The DMC greens (502/503) looked almost the same. So, I decided to switch to the silks (my LNS has them). Restarted using the silks and it is lovely. Looking forward to following your progress. And, Terry, I love your plan on stitching One Nation. I have the chart but was intimidated by the size. Your weekly goals are perfect. Now, where an if it it into my rotation! 🤪 Love getting my Nebraska fix watching you two.

Always enjoy watching your floss tube. I have very temperamental hair, it either has to be a very short pixie style or bob that is all one layer that I use a hair drying curling brush to smooth and straighten. Hope whatever you decide you will love it! I too am stitching One Nation. I love it but be prepared, those stripes and stars!!! You will know soon, great for stitching and watching floss tube.

Personally, when I get my hair chopped off, I end up letting it grow right back out b/c I love to pull it up in a clip, bun, or ponytail, but good luck with making your decision, Jamie. Either way, you’ll look great❤️
I loved everything you both showed & I cannot wait to see your tart pan finishes! The SAL is tempting, but I don’t have the pattern, yet! That’s really cute! I decided not to do any until I get some things finished, but now you’ve got me rethinking that decision - my WIP basket is overflowing at the moment😂🤷‍♀️

Do it! A fun new hairdo for Summer- you’ll still look darling. My daughter just cut 12” off her hair and it looks so cute. You’ll miss the ponytail banging on the back of a car seat (ha!). I love all of your stitching, as usual, looks great. I don’t love to buy a whole kit for quilts anymore - I have a buffet full of them. I feel like a BOM is more doable and I can keep up when someone else sorts the fabric and directions out for me. I think it has to do with lazy? I am so jealous of your retreat! It’ll be fun! I look forward to seeing you again-have a great couple weeks! Oh, wait! My question this time - What is the deal with horses? Have you always loved them -did you have one- do you go riding now?

Talked to Scott Flanagan at the Cedar Rapids quilt show. When I heard he worked in Fremont, I asked if he knew you. YES! When he asked how I knew you, I mentioned Flosstube and he seemed to have no idea. If you see him, tell him hi. Lol. Sweet guy and his trunk show was amazing. I have his current block of the week quilt kitted up and need to start working on it.

I like pansies and violas for the fall. I've also seen fall asters, but I haven't planted any. I don't do chrysanthemums because they are one and done for blooming.
I cut my hair several years ago and it's probably the best my hair has ever looked. I am wash and go. Only thing is that you have to cut more frequently.

Not too expensive and the yellow is eye catching. I think you should cut your hair. We all have wavy hair here! I love your spring pieces. ❤️ Enjoy your retreat! So close to pretty finishes!

I have always said that quilting was the one rabbit hole I’d never go down. You see, once I go down a rabbit hole, it’s pretty bad. This is the reason my whole home is one giant craft room. It’s also one of the perks of being divorced. I don’t have to answer to anyone about my spending and I can decorate any way I see fit! 😊 However, in my acquisition of fat quarters and fabric remnants to use for finishing, I realize all this fabric could be used for foundational paper piecing!! Uh oh! Here comes the rabbit hole!! Is FPP something you ladies have tried, or would it be possible that someday you’d be doing an FPP class as your shop expands?

    Hi Terry and Jamie
Love your WIPS - I love the colors of them.
Jamie - you should cut your hair short like in a Pixie. I keep my hair real short - Pixie Cut - My hair is real thick so I keep it short. My hair gets real curly when I let it grow out. It curls automatically. I don’t have to do nothing to it to make it curly. It has a natural curls to it when it grows out.
