I feel bad for him in a way. I mean he really cares for her, already loves her but doesn't show it. On top of that Hee jo is hiding that she is not mute. Its betrayal tbh. I want both of them to be strength of each other.
How could she know that he loves her? She suffered so much and he also always act rude directly. How would she know that he is not just polite in the moment? Or that he's not carrying about himself?
Why exactly does he hide his love for her? Her mutism is also a big secret but seems like she does that out of some kind of helplessness considering her surroundings, & it will be revealed later with the progress of the story; but the guy already has no weakness except his wife, why does he have to hide his love for his legally married wife?! Will that also be revealed with the progress of the story?
His weakness is his wife but the main thing is his surrounding people are ready to attack on his weakness that's why he pushed her in distance.. we'll get it unfold in upcoming episodes.

@@janapeterson5967 in Saturday's episode he already explained....common when he decided to show affection....as his weakness she was pushed from cliff ....now you can decide if this is enough to explain the 3 years of ignorance
@@janapeterson5967I don't think he's the bad guy on the screen, you're right, he's screwed up a lot, mostly because of all the secrets between them. He has a reason for what he told her on their wedding day, he's said many times that he didn't want her to be in a prison and he thought that maybe with those words he would make her feel like she didn't have a real responsibility in that marriage, therefore she was free, obviously like any normal person she didn't take it that way she just felt humiliated, but I insist there's no bad intention there in the same way she's never had bad intentions when keeping secrets, it's been shown several times that he acts the way he acts because he's surrounded by people who are capable of anything and will hurt her if they see that she cares, pushing her away was for him a way to free her and also to protect her, which I think wasn't the most correct but like her, he hasn't had a very normal and happy life and childhood, so it's natural that neither of them knows how to deal with certain situations appropriately. On the other hand, obviously a couple of nice words are not going to fix what he did wrong but actions like worrying about her in this chapter and especially in chapter 6 where he shows her that he not only cares about her but that he will always go to help her are sincere gestures that can close the space between them and give way to forgiveness, because after all he has recognized in several chapters that he messed up and is trying to fix it, the fact that she still has feelings for him is a sign that it is not too late. Words and concern do not compensate for cruel behavior, but the sincere repentance he has already shown and better behavior can.
It can’t compare to the fear he experience in ep 6 when she is lost in the mountains he experience fear in a different level then felt bad for him there
When he heard that 406 was in the same building, Sa-eon went completely pale with fear for Hee-joo's safety. In the tragedy of the moment, there's no denying that the romance is at an all-time high. Watched episode five. I was naive to believe that the cliffhanger from the previous episode would lead to the obvious conclusion that Sa-eon would expose Hee-joo of her secret identity as 406. My bad, I should have known since I'm well acquainted with the typical intrinsic mechanisms of how Korean dramas are encoded in the structure. But it doesn't matter, because the episode doesn't disappoint, despite the revelation having been postponed a bit (not too much judging from how this episode evolves and I trust in the next one from this point of view) and I have to say that I have to give another round of applause to the authors of this product, because, even though, as mentioned above, remaining in a rigid structure that we are used to in most dramas, they had the cunning to exploit the classic tropes and various clichés in a constructive way, such as the issue of the childhood bond of the protagonists that I already mentioned in its time, placed not so much for, but for very specific narrative reasons and character construction; in this case, however, I am referring to the classic use of multiple points of view of a scene: almost always in a drama there is the use of revisiting a scene already seen, inserting scenes not seen previously to give a different reading to that scene; in this case, and it's not the first time, showing us, from Sa-eon's point of view, the whole final part of the previous episode, was not inserted just for the sake of it, but it gives further strength to Sa-eon's character and to the infamous words he said to Hee-joo on the phone praising her; I'm referring to when Sa-eon listened behind the door to the discussion that Hee-joo had with her mother, giving him further proof of what he already knows, that is, how Yeon-hui forces Hee-joo to do everything she wants using her father as leverage. On this occasion, perhaps for the first time judging by how Yeon-hui reacts in surprise, Sa-eon shows his true feelings for Hee-joo, standing up for her for the second time if we consider the dinner scene at the hotel with Sa-eon's parents. Sa-eon has taken another step towards becoming the husband that Hee-joo deserves, as well as finally taking off that mask that represses his true self. Not to be underestimated, moreover, how in the whole scene he does nothing but try to reach her the whole time. In this sense, in this episode, minute after minute, Sa-eon has taken more steps towards this direction than in all four previous episodes, proving to be more and more caring towards Hee-joo, but also a better boss for his staff, participating in the group dinner and appearing more relaxed. The pinnacle of this journey is the scene where Hee-joo teaches sign language to Sa-eon, which was perhaps the most intimate moment the two have ever had, excluding the hot scenes of the previous episodes... Obviously we can't help but mention the cliché of clichés: the infamous Truck of Doom, which in this case is also used with reason since the scene gives a significant push to bring Sa-eon closer to Hee-joo, showing him and her how much she cares for him, as well as making her say, for the first time, his name which has a certain effect. It should be noted, however, that the scene seems to make fun of the viewer, since shortly before we see the classic white truck pass by, that is, the Truck of Doom in its classic form, only because it "took turns" with the black off-road vehicle that almost ran over Sa-eon. It's something I found funny to subvert, so to speak, a classic trope that was there anyway, as per tradition. However, I have to give Sa-eon a rap, because while it is true that his frustration is understandable, it must be said that, in three years, he has maintained his mask of coldness with her, keeping her at a distance, therefore he has never given her a reason to trust him and it must be said that he still hasn't given a real explanation for this attitude towards her. Wanting to return to the ugly story of Hee-joo with her horrible mother, I can't help but feel a certain sadness further to the already tragic situation in which she has put Hee-joo, because in addition to speech, she has forced her to give up her greatest dream, that is to be a TV journalist, which is connected to why, I imagine, she worked as a sign language interpreter on the news, a way to stay close to the dream that she will never be able to pursue. The mysterious In-a also deserves a couple of words, of whom, unless I missed it previously, we now learn that she was left deaf in the infamous accident in which the Chairman's son died and Hee-joo was then forced to be mute by her mother, in addition to In-a being the Chairman's daughter; in addition to that, it is not clear why she came back and is contacting Hee-joo and what kind of deal she made with Sa-eon, it is all still unclear, but I am quite certain that this, like the real 406 and Sang-woo's past, is all connected in some way. A fleeting but very powerful in its tragedy scene deserves a mention, namely a flashback, only sound, in which Kyu-jin remembers the horrible words of her father-in-law Paik Jang-ho in which, it can be said, he was the one who started this vicious circle of appearances and expectations that is expected in the Paik family and that she and her husband are perpetrating with Sa-eon. I found it to be a very significant scene. The drama continues to confirm itself as one of the best of the year, without ever missing a beat and the wait for tomorrow's episode is high.
Great analysis.... This episode has shown a softer side of him indeed and finally he has connected all the dots that's why he was super drunk at the party. I am very wary of the kidnapper however who is still planning and is now angry and also Hong in a who is back and clearly don't like that they look closer than ever. Today's episode 6 is going to be a good watch

Despite the suffocating environment they're living in , his intention wasn't to keep her his wife so he was cold to not get attached to her but he got anyway 😂 he was willing to love her from distance by freeing her from her family and that's it . he didn't want more because it's dangerous near him but it is what it is you can't manipulate it
