🐒🍌🚢 About Us - Who are the Cruise Monkeys?
We are bananas about cruising! We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini cruise on P&O Aurora. Making videos of our cruises and sharing our experiences has become our hobby - the complete video is filmed and edited on an iPhone. The videos are our opinions and experiences while on board - really they are us having fun and brining you along with us!
We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails).
We have sailed on P&O Cruises, Cunard Line, Princess Cruises, MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Avalon Waterways. We'd love to try Ambassador Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Fred Olsen, Holland America (HAL), Celebrity, Disney Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Costa, Aida, Marella and Celestyal.

I love love love these cabins - the little window seats are just the cutest additions to these cabins!
They sure are, perfect to sit there n watch the sea or fjords pass by 🥰
Great Review guys, I can see why these rooms always sell out fast, they are great value for the space that you get👍🏻🚢🛟
Yes they are, so much space!
It looks lovely. Thank you for the video!
Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed the room tour nice cabin. Especially love the seating area by the window, maybe one day we will get over that way and sail on that beautiful ship. Sincerely, adventures of David and Aaron. ⚓️ ⚓️ ⚓️
Hope you guys are good?! Oh yeah it would be awesome to see you over this part of the world!l 😀
I completely agree, we had the same cabin but with the bed by the window. I loved sitting in the window seat watching the waves pass by.
There’s just so much more space and dare I say it, better than a balcony.
Ah nice, think we’d prefer that set up?
Yeah, we think it’s basically the size of a balcony cabin and balcony, or at least feels it
@@CruiseMonkeys I like having the bed further away from the cabin door, maybe that’s just me?
This cabin is actually larger than some balconies, our friends had one that couldn’t fit the sofa just the desk and chair.
Yeah, think it would also make the wardrobe and that area more useful?
We could believe that! That sofa was huge!
Hi Both, Great spacious cabin ,
Wait for your holiday videos now 😊
It was fab. Hopefully a couple of weeks :)
We had an ocean view cabin last year, i liked to sit in the window seat and watch the world go by or read. Being on deck 4 is really handy for getting on and off whilst in port, no waiting for the lifts, it’s also a quick sprint up to deck 6 when the lifts are busy.
💯 agree, so convent for getting on and off in port, but bit of a trek to the top decks. Love the seat too!
I'm excited same cabin in 8 weeks 😊
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did 😀
Morning boy's, interesting tour of your cabin room. Love the night light switch, Didn't realise was there, when I was on Iona ! I'm sailing on August Bank Holiday week, can't wait!!!Enjoy your cruise ❤
Yeah, so many font reloads why there is a switch that seems to do nothing 🤣
Very well put together guys love the inserts of the details and nicely edited. We loved our Ocean view on Iona I just couldn't get Lindsey out of the window seat.
Awww thank you! Yeah it’s a fab cabin. We loved the window seat too
A little unit to put our wine on later!! 😂 Feel that so much! 🤣🍷
😂
Nice cabin boys! - great tour. I'm looking forward to your adventures on this cruise. *hugs*
Thanks so much! Hopefully the series will start in a couple of weeks!
Cool window seat, great wardrobes, nice that they have USB ports and movable reading lights on each side of the bed. Happy Belated 40th, Gavin!🎉🎂🥳🍾🥂
The seat is a great feature!
Awww, thank you 🙏
Thank you for a good review, we will be in the same type of cabin in September.
Oh fab - have a great time
Firstly, a belated Happy Birthday Gavin. 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍾🍾 (hic). Since from your previous day room video we were impressed with the room. We are considering one of these for a future cruise on Iona.
Thank you 🙏
Oh you should definitely consider these sea view cabins, they are great
I love those window cabins , would be an option if could not get a balcony ☺️
They are great and worked well as our cruise was quite wet!
Thank you for the tour🚢😊
Our pleasure! 🥰
Great cabin tour. We would like to give this cabin a try
You should, it’s ideal and huge
Thanks for this and all the info. I have a booking next year on the same ship and type of cabin so interesting
Glad it was helpful! It really is a great cabin grade 👍
Love your room xxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks Dan, it was a fab one
... another adventure begins ...
💯
Hi lovely video as usual and looking forward to the next ones. I stayed on Arvia and on first night Jo glass in the bathroom but as I left my toothbrush on the side next day I had a glass and it was placed in there. Not sure why they don’t provide them but always love my p and o cruises.
Yeah people are saying they are now on Arvia, must have left them behind haha! We ended up using one from the bar on it
Hi Guys, thanks for the room tour. I’d be interested to know your views on being down on deck 4 and how you find it over the week. Might be interested in booking one of these myself in future.
Hopefully once the vlogs come out you’ll see how we get on, but in all honesty is is a great cabin, easy to get on and off the ship, loads of space abs quiet. Would highly recommend
Can't wait to see these vlogs xx
We have this cabin layout on our upcoming cruise... video has demonstrated it lovely thank you. Just one question, is there space under the bed to store suitcase?
Ohhh it is a wonder cabin, lots of space! Yea, you’ll fit cases under the bed no problem, we had 3 large cases under there 🤣
Hi, can I ask ..is there storage for suitcases under the beds at all? Thanks 🙏🏻
Yup there’s plenty of room under the bed for cases
A really really nice room, the only thing we didn’t like is where the wardrobe is situated, hopefully the start of a new cruise, thanks a lot Lads.
Is a great room! There is another confirmation where they swap the bed and sofa around, that would give more space near the wardrobe
Hi Guys we booked the same cabin type on Iona at Christmas 22/23 sailing and we loved it. Ours was port side, deck 5 with a slightly different configuration - our bed was near the window seat but lots of space as you say. We were sailing to the Canaries and had lots of sea days. I spent hours in the window seat curled up watching the sea and reading. Fabulous cabin. I bought a little Christmas tree and put it in the window to sit with my cruise monkey 🙊 who I call Jake 😂❤
Awwwwww fab 🙈 🎄
Yeah, we’ve seen those configurations- think we may prefer them to be honest, a bit more space near the wardrobe? 👍
How does the couch work as a bed, is it used length ways as a single.
Hi, yes, that’s correct. This cabin has 2 singles, so the sofa converts in to a single and then the ‘Pullman’ in the ceiling comes down to give you another, bunk bed style 👍
Hi boy's , I forgot to ask, a bit of a random question, who's appearing in the Limelight Club , on the Iona? , I'm on there August Bank Holiday week ❤❤
It varies cruise by cruise. It should tell you on my.pocruises.com - it might be someone like La Voix, jaki graham, ray quinn, Ben Ofoedu or Lee mead etc.
Morning boys, thanks will have a look 😀 😊
Hi, lovely review. Is there still a £2.50 tray charge for room service? I read somewhere they got rid of it again.
Hi! Yes, there’s a £2.50 delivery charge, just checked the photos of the menu. This only applies to Iona and Arvia, others in the fleet don’t have the charge.
Hi Luke and Gavin a strange question but do P and O no longer provide face cloths (always known as flannels to me! 😂😂) .
Not strange at all.. flannels, body lotion and conditioner are still avoidable on request, so just ask the cabin steward 👍
Thank you that’s very helpful 😊
4421 is where the ship is re fueled. Its a great room until the pull in the equipment to refuel. The room shakes and its incredibly noisy. Will never book again. Avoid.
Thanks for sharing you experience, useful information for anyone concerned about noise. Though we have to say on our 7 night fjords cruise, we don’t remember experiencing any noise or vibrations particularly as they were not refuelling in every port.
They re fueled this morning in rotterdam at 6am. The noise went on for over an hour. Would have been find had they given us a heads up. It's just so noisy as the chains pull I the hose under the floor of this room.
Other than that it's a superb room. But when the hose is coming in it sounds like they're dragging it through the room 😂 was quite the rude awakening.😂
