This guy is a true nerd. There are a number of them in the campus, but they're a very small percentage. A typical Berkeley student is so sociable and outspoken.
A typical student is Asian, too. The campus is definitely no longer full of hippies. As the student said, it's very competitive and students do work very hard. However, Thursday and Friday nights are serious party time! I live next to the campus and could tell you some stories! I got a shock when I first moved here and wanted to use the engineering library. I found that it was open till 1 or 2 am on Sundays, because the students always had to turn in papers on Mondays.

Graduated engineering at UCB in 1990. Watching him walk around, it looks exactly the same. I knew 100 people just like him.
