Heavy Trucks in the Junk Yard - Scrap or Save?

- Take a visit with me at Sam's Salvage Yard, a sprawling field and forest filled with all types of 1/64 scale cars, trucks, tractors, and heavy equipment. This giant diorama junkyard filled with new and old diecast toys has a scrapping storyline you won't want to miss!
Today there is a host of Greenlight H.D. Trucks and S.D. Trucks under consideration for new vehicles to rest here at Sam's Salvage. The lot of trucks includes several late model Chevy C60, C65, and C70 tank trucks, grain trucks, and dump trucks. Also for review are the Chevy C30 with Chevelle Laguna Stock Car, Chicago Police Chevrolet Step Van, Mack Granite Dump Truck with snow plow, Mack Refuse (garbage / recycling) Rear-Loader, and a pair of International Durastar Delivery Vans.

I have been attempting to try and get the new SD 2019 Mack Chicago snow plow with no luck, from my local shops.
So I decided to bite the bullet, so to speak and ordered my 2 online!
(1) standard and
(1) Green Machine

My fingers are sore from getting into these boxes 😂
I'm dealing with sum old packing on sum smaller stuff but there's just no way there's no picture and the packaging is weathered.
Most of the stuff in cases were in great protective condition sum the dust did get in a couple of the cases, this stuff has been displayed since 95! So it's something to finally be trying to organize and pack up.
But I love this detailed replica die cast models!

M-1008 was the pick up, Blazer was the M-1009. I used to drive both back in the 1980's They were based on the 1985 models.

Fun Fact the extra 6th wheel on the Mack plow dump is not for more wheels to carry the weight..Nope..its just to have 2 extra brakes to stop said weight.
Also you can barely turn when those wheels are down ...if you ever see them in operation..the driver will lift the wheels before a turn .

Does it bother you at all that the type of truck shown for Chicago snow plow was never actually operated in that capacity by the city?
To be honest I wasn't aware of that... so no, I was not bothered. Now, I am not sure. It is still a nice truck!
@@wtffor - sorry, I should’ve phrased that better. It’s a beautiful truck! I was very tempted to get it with family from Chicago and spending a lot of time there, but after noticing it wasn’t real, I removed it from my cart haha

Its hard to find some good Classic Semi Trucks in scale 1/64 here in Germany. DCP/First Gear is much too expensive and the rest is mostly cheap toyish NoNames or cheap Promotion Giveaways. Found some NEO scale Modells 1/64 Resin Semi Trucks for around 30€ each, but all without Trailers. Maybe someone knows a Brand for a price around 30€, like Greenlight or M2 Machines with some nice Classic Trailers?

10:34 Funny thing with how protective and anal UPS is over their copyrights. Evidently they only let Greenlight use their old obsolete livery here. That livery is at least 25 years obsolete and is not their current livery.
