Great video, Greg, with some amazing scenery. Your whole party seems to be having a whale of a time, and you, Brendan and Thomas interact so brilliantly together. Looking forward to your future videos.
The three amigos! Wow so glad I’ve hooked up to your channel, from Brendan and Tom! Loved this Greg, and great to see everyone so relaxed and buzzing! 😁👍 more
Wow, fantastic videos you've been doing, Greg, thanks so much! Awesome scenery and you've had some great shoots. I love your video work and the drone footage is wonderful! I just subscribed to your vlog and I'm really glad I found you through Tom and Brendan. I've been following both of them for a long time and I did a workshop with Tom and Simon Baxter in the Lake District in England last Feb. Keep those videos coming-can't wait for the next one!
Awesome episode Greg and such amazing scenery on show through your footage. The mountain footage from the roadside was epic. Just watching your subscriber count growing and growing and its no surprise when you see what you putting out there.
Certified Drone pilot?! Who even knew that was a thing. Greg this was an exceptional vlog. Nice work capturing all this great footage and putting it together. Excellent work!
It's like watching national geographic esp the glacier calving scene. 5:37 reminds me of Grand Teton...love the drone shot and the time lapse at 6:35...
Your energy is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your digital nomad lifestyle. Awesome footage and editing. I love the part when Thomas made fun of your stand-ups when he did his American or Canadian accent. You guys are awesome!
Awesome drone footage, incredible time lapses and wonderful commentary Greg. And sharing the same name it would be foolish not to subscribe. Well done Greg, from Greg.
Errrrrr...... mind blowing 😎😁 Holy Maloney.. that glacier.... the Condor.... the stunning mountains.... and Thomas doing his impressions.. hahaaa lol. These vids need to be longer buddy... I enjoy them too much :-) Great work 👍
Brings back memories of our trip to Patagonia & Fitzroy back in 2002. I see the roads have improved. Our bus to El Calafate lost a back wheel en route! I'd attach the photo if I could.
Wow! What a great vlog Greg :) You capture the most amazing footage, its stunning! And I'm blown away with the glacier, it's really out of worldly....breathtaking! Think I could stare at it all day :) Quite mesmerising! And that noise it makes as the ice is calving is eerie but so cool! And fab journey & scenery into El Chalten. ( awesome to see your subs going up & up :) you so deserve it :)
Wow Greg, to capture the moment a piece of glacier crumbles I to the sea must every photographers / visitors dream. The time laspe of the mountains is Epic as Thomas Heaton would say! It seems the default lens is 70-200L, enough kit in the minibus to buy 3 mini buses,..ha
Wow, this is crazy! It looks like your group is following almost the same exact route I went a few years ago. Started in El Calafate and went to Perito Moreno, then went up to El Chalten, got the road shot (I was also lucky to get a complete double rainbow!) and it appears you guys are even staying at the same hosteria el Paraiso!! This blows my mind. Great place, NEED to go back.
You guys seem to be having sooo much fun. The scenery is @*%$"#= awesome, words fail me really. I'm looking forward to each episode. A thought struck me; how many memory cards would one take for this venture? Would a nearby town have a camera shop if you wanted spares etc?
It’s been a blast!! A few of us have different systems for memory cards and storage. I have two SDs and two CFs, plus a 2TB Lacie hard drive. You can get some limited camera gear in Puerto Natales, Chile.
Are you able to fly drones across the face of the glacier in Perito Moreno, I'm pretty sure it's not but would be amazing if you were allowed to do some footage there.
awseome!! Heading there to do a similar route in 10 days! A question Greg, how often can you fill up the gas tank around these areas? Do they have gas stations in this part of Ruta 40? Or only at the cities? Or not even there? Help me out with that 'cause I'll be alone there with the car!
You can rent at the Calafate airport no worries. There is gas at El Chalten and Calafate. There is also gas on route to Chilean Border, but then only one other in Natales. No ga in TDP National Park.
awesome thanks for the inside info! I'll be 7 days in el chalten then another 7 days in TDP ,looking for the pumas for some amazing shots! If you have time would love to hear your thoughts about my channel, kinda similar to what you, Brendan and Thomas are doing, but based in freaking Rio de Janeiro! ;) Check here (english subtitles on) ruclips.net/video/n5aWoKUyoXo/видео.html Best regards, big fan here!
Great video! Thank you
Wow. Just wow!

Glad to see Brendan made it in from Tokyo. You're really getting such diverse types of terrain.

@gregorsnell I cannot believe this is nearly a year ago!!!!!
Hard to believe indeed. I have to do it all over again too. #facepalm ;)
ruta 40 relived..thanks
Man happy you had such an amazing time travelling down here.
I can't hear that Backstreet Boys song without hearing the Weird Al Yancovic parody "Bought it on Ebay"
Excelente trabajo...... weon......
Gracias weon!!

Nope, definitely not. Helicopters maybe.

And do you recommend any special rental company there? Should I do it in advance - i mean now! - or can I do it when at calafate airport?
You can rent at the Calafate airport no worries. There is gas at El Chalten and Calafate. There is also gas on route to Chilean Border, but then only one other in Natales. No ga in TDP National Park.

Nice work Greg! What song in 5:35 ?
Did everyone on that trip go to make a blog?
It is possible take off a drone to film’s in Perito Moreno? I found a couple videos about it but I am not really sure!
No it's in a national park. Not possible.
What have you done with the real Thomas Heaton you fiends!!!!
hahahaha.
You guys have too much fun. I don’t like it.
Truly beautiful 👌👍
