I love STRAY KIDS!!! Changbin & his fast rap is what I live for
Yeah I get why they remind you of BTS. I have been stanning only BTS for years (but I did check out new releases from other groups/artist). And when Stray kids - Hellevator came out, I of course clicked it. I liked the song, LOVED the lyrics and when I found out it was produced and written by them I was hooked. I then watched their Stray kids survival show every week as it was coming out. (I am still sticking to the theory that Lee know was only eliminated because he had to perform as BTS back up dancer at the time and he just didnt have the time to do both the show and the concerts).
And like they reminded me of BTS BUT I couldnt figure out why, their song style is different, their dancing style is different, their messages are different, and they have really unique rappers/singers. But by the time District 9 (their debut song) came out, I finally figured out why they remind me of BTS. The answer was really simple: Stray kids song tell their own story, like BTS songs tell their story. Both groups are telling different stories, BUT because both of them are being honest and sincere, we get the same vibe from them, because when an artist is performing their own message we can feel it and relate to it

There is actually two versions of this song. One with Hyunjin & one without. Both of which has live performances which are both lit and u should watch both! During the original making of this song, Wolfgang was Stray Kids finale song for the show KINGDOM:Legendary War and during dat time, Hyunjin was sadly on hiatus and dat would explain why he didint rap in this song BUT we knew which part was originally gonna be his if he was there which was the first part Han rapped. When Stray Kids released NOEASY back in August, they made an OT8 ver of Wolfgang with Hyunjin taking the part we all knew was his. Also we knew it was a reference to Mozart and it js kinda further comfirmed it when they played a classical piece in the beginning of Kingdom's Wolfgang performance, they even had his name written on the screen too.
Cant wait till you get around to The Tortoise And The Hare by them.

love your reaction. Yes most of the stay fans did get the mozart reference because in the m/v for the kingdom live performance they also played mozart in the beginning of the song. There are 2 versions m/v for this song. A live kingdom performance without Hyunjin and after there latest album dropped they have a new m/v version of Wolfgang that includes Hyunjin. Highly recommend you to view or react to both performances. They are similar but different.

Wolfgang has two meanings one is definitely a shout-out to Mozart and the other being a pack always sticking together trying to survive in society and in the music industry and going through a lot but always being there for each other no matter what. I love that their music always has this beautiful deep rooted message behind it💪💜
Actually on their live performance.. there is a VCR before their performance which actually showed what you meant by Mozart.. There is also a piece (classical piece) that is re-arranged, being the background music while the VCR is playing.. Yeah, not all of Stray Kids fans are fans of classical music but we understood the double meaning of the title because of their live performance

When I first saw the title of the song, before the last episode in kingdom, I thought "Wolfgang, isn't that Mozart's name 🤔? their musics are always so interesting and satisfying to listen and analyse it because they like to keep elements of surprise and make us gasp because the beat didn't go the way we expected.
Yes they do remind me of BTS. Not because they have same kind of music or something but because they have really different kind of music. Both of them have immense passion about their work and their greediness shows through their songs. Their passion is similar to each other. Bangchan and RM r the literal comfort zones. Minho and Hyunjin feels like a mixture of jk and jimin. Han and changbin reminds me of suga and jhope. Seungmin and Jeongin reminds me of young Jin and Jungkook. And Felix's deep voice reminds me of V.
A lot of fans did get the reference (and they shared it with those who didn't). :) Not only because the intro during the live performance explicitly mentions Mozart by both name and a solo of his music, but because this song incorporates pieces of Mozart's Symphony No. 40 -- which even some of the fans who aren't familiar with Mozart recognized because Chan included the same music as a spoiler/tie-in during his solo part in the 자신/Ja Shin/Side Menu/God's Effects performance in an earlier episode, and those who recognized it in that earlier song alerted the fandom. So people were already aware of it and recognized it when it was used again.
If you listen to the song again, pay close attention to the music and you'll hear that it's Mozart, not just a generic "classical music" inclusion. Also, you'll want the remade OT8 version of the song, not this old no-Hyunjin version, if you do end up adding it to a playlist. The Spotify version from NOEASY is updated to OT8.

The whole album is FIRE. It's AOTY for me hands down. And I'm an army who is still in process of learning their names. They are exceptional artists. My fav track is Silent cry.
