What about a copyright claim against your channel when you, in fact, are the copyright holder (actual registered copyrights and BMI)? It is a music channel of original music. I have had instances where my videos have been muted and no way to challenge that. Any suggestions?
I was using music within the free version of the Filmora Wondershare editing software. There was no indication of any copyright issues when I uploaded the video. However, weeks later, I was notified about a copyright claim, owner allows it, no impact, blah blah blah. Question is why is there even a claim when the music was provided within the software? I’m afraid of what might happen to the video after I get monetised 😟😓
This is actually pretty common now, lots of people reporting issues with music included in different apps and tools. My recommendation is to not use included music and use a service where you get the license to use it yourself. Artlist, Epidemic Sound, Creator Mix all make this easy.
I agree. This seems to be at odds with the Filmora library. Although I have a paid version of Filmora, I'm just learning how to use it, so I was just about to launch my very 1st RUclips video edited with lightcut. However, a quick search suggests copyright claims have been made against music in their library. It's all a bit confusing because they shouldn't be promoting copyright material without this being clearly identified.
@ Right?? So I’ve gone ahead and subscribed to Epidemic Sound. It’s just too nerve wracking thinking about my videos having copyright issues in future, the worst case being made to delete the video after putting so much effort into making it.
Sadly, this didn't work for me. Someone WHO DID NOT OWN THE COPYRIGHT for "Walking In A Winter Wonderland" filed a claim against me for my PARODY "Feedin' Kitty Things She Shouldn't Eat". I had a licensed Karaoke version of the song, wrote the words myself, sang and produced it myself, but the claimant proceeded to continue lying, and RUclips took their side and took down my video and gave me a copyright strike. Nothing I did (including contacting RUclips directly) made a difference. So I filed a theft of copyright against the company with the Copyright Office. Nothing ever came of it because the losers are based in Briton. They didn't even have a single video on RUclips, they just attacked me because they ALSO LICENSED the piece to use with their children's group who sang the original to it. SUCKS SO MUCH THAT RUclips CONDONES AND MAKES POSSIBLE THIS KIND OF FRAUD!!!
I always think of starting a RUclips channel but seeing that such awesome high quality channel with 1.7M subs getting around 1.7k views on the video always depresses me. Thats just 0.1%. How do u stay motivated to publish such detailed, super hq videos consistently? Also, should I start a blog or a YT channel? What's quicker way to see results, monetarily? Thanks in advance. 😊😊
😂 Please note that they are getting over 2 million views every month consistently. Their strategy is search base focused not the viral style you are used to.
The key is CONSISTENCY…so you need a niche that you can have plenty of content so you can post 2-3 videos per week and grow your audience. The problem is when ppl create a channel, post 2 videos and then, don’t post a video on 3 months…RUclips algorithm won’t take you seriously.
@@PrimalVideohello Sir, I have an urgent need for your response. I have a mix up with my brand channel and personal channel . please I don't know how to talk you direct. I used your video to open the account and I think I mix things up and it is affecting me seriously. I need to fix it fast because I'm trying yo monetize my channel. Please sir I need help . please respond . Thank you
Thank you as always for the great content, demonstrations and explanations! I am sure you have endless video topics in queue, but if you ever feel inclined to expand on the topic of fair use for music, I, and I bet a lot of other dancers and/or people who want to use copyrighted songs for their own dance or music demonstration would be very grateful! For example, is it fair use to use a copyrighted song to illustrate some point about percussion/rhythm/musical transitions? Is it fair use to teach dance steps using a copyrighted song to show how the steps should sync up with the musical timing? They aren't just using the music in the background; the topic of the video includes analysis of the music and/or dancing to the music, but it's not clear to me if that qualifies as fair use or if there are still further requirements. I have looked many times for a definitive explanation of fair use for dancers and other content creators in this category and I have yet to find it. Thank you for all your content and IN ADVANCE if you create a definitive guide with examples and explanations around fair use!
If RUclips strikes your video, it doesn’t automatically lead to demonetization. However, if you get multiple strikes, it can affect your monetization status. RUclips reviews each case individually, so the timing and decision are up to them. - Hazel, PV Team

In addition, they may be making well over 20K per month from Ad, affiliate, courses and sponsorship

Dnt be intimidated, i started my channel 5 months ago n got monetised 😊😊. Keep pushing 🎉
I always get a kick out of and "WTF" at the same time when YT gives me a copyright strike for my OWN music lol
haha wow that's crazy! You've managed to get the strikes removed though right?
Justin.
@PrimalVideo I know right lol. Yes I have but it was a pain
Great informative video! This is very helpful
Thanks! I'm glad you found it helpful 👍
Justin.

Hey, quick content question. If RUclips strikes your video , how soon after that do they demonetize you? Or is it up to RUclips ?
If RUclips strikes your video, it doesn’t automatically lead to demonetization. However, if you get multiple strikes, it can affect your monetization status. RUclips reviews each case individually, so the timing and decision are up to them. - Hazel, PV Team
Is there any harm to disputing a video? It’s kinda of scary clicking that your channel could be terminated

0:41 👈🏼 Chris Martin from Coldplay can have a copyright claims against you, for using his face in your videos. 😁
hahaha maybe i should file the claim first?
