    First of all, great guide! Now, I wanna point out a few things. She has another command grab in uf 1+2. Her ws 1+2 has a ton of pushback and it's -3 on block, so sidestepping or sidewalking to their weak side will give you a free whiff if they press. After a heat smash on block, try to sidewalk too. Usually, it can fuck up your opponent timing, giving a much more consistent mix-up as they don't usually expect you to delay your timing, most of the time people tend to either crouch or stand still right away. As a final tip, after any launcher followed by ff 2,3 db 1,4 you can sidestep left after the tornado in p1 for a more consistent ff4 ff 2,3. I hope this will help any asuka enjoyer, peace!

      @@ceeka9002 Asuka has hitbox issues. The sidestep helps you hit both the first and the second hit after the ff4 due to the angle, but in that combo you can still hit it without the sidestep but it's much harder to do.

    Hey man! i bought Tekken 8 yesterday after leaving MK ,( tired of that repetitive 2d franchise with no sprint).
    Im the typical player who looks for the standar kickboxer like Johny Cage, Bryan Fury in tekken , Sagat in Street Fighter, Zack in DoA... You get me.
    For some reason, i picked her because I recognize her from Tekken 5 , cause i had that game back then in ps2 , so seeing her again just made me curious to see how she was doing.
    The moment if played a bit with her, I knew she was gonna be my 1st entry fro T8, i dont know she reminds me of Jun from Tekken 2, really its like they put all her animations into Asuka, but the new Jun is like Ashra from MK 1.
    also her f2 is so Mishima, that launcher reminds me of classic Tekken. I know she is B tier, but the fact that she conserves a lot of traditional movements is what makes me wanna stick into her , i find her very traditional and quite classic, i preffer her than Jin honestly

      KBD isn’t super necessary as backdashing covers a fair amount of ground in Tekken 8. It’s worth labbing in your spare time as it creates opportunities in your spacing. And I will have a video covering how to use Asuka in the new patch.

    Combo ender ff2,1+2 is better cause it gives you the buff

    • @coachkazama8434
      @coachkazama8434  3 месяца назад +1

      I agree with magic 4! Ending your combo with ff2 just for the buff isn’t worth it in most scenarios. I would consider this idea 'Option Select' which is a more advanced concept, but if you’re not already familiar with it, it's understanding all of the optimal options(moves) to use in any specific scenario.
      Using ff2, 1+2 to end a combo makes sense as an option when:
      A: There are no walls near
      B: Your opponent is about to die and you need just a bit more damage in your combo
      C: You’re ending a combo at the wall on a low splat.
      It’s HUGE to wall carry in this game and it should be prioritized over any standard ender if there are walls near. I find myself using ff+4 >ff+2, 3 or d/b+4, 3 to get the wall scenario since it creates such a huge advantage than resetting neutral with an ender that pushes back fullscreen

    Wonderful guide brother!
    How's her keep out game? I'm a Lili main and I'm looking to learn a new character. So I need to know what she lacks now that I know her offense is great, then her punishment options should logically be weak. Otherwise people would portray her as an OP character.

    • @coachkazama8434
      @coachkazama8434  3 месяца назад

      Her punishment and defensive options are arguably some of the best in the game. She has far reaching mids that are great for whiff punishment and an okay block punishment game. Her keep out is below average compared to characters like Lili and Bryan as her keep out mids are slower and require more commitment. Her offense is actually the weakest aspect as she lacks solid rushdown pressure when she’s not at the wall.
      If you take a look at KingReyJr's matches in Electric Clash 2024, you'll see that her pressure is being sidestepped often and she has to fully commit if she wants her lows to land. She certainly isn’t OP but is still a great character overall.

      @coachkazama8434  3 месяца назад +14

      @@Hypercube1729 I’m not sure how many people you have coached, but that is certainly the wrong way to go about learning and improving at Tekken. Frame data is an intermediate topic that new players will not have a full grasp on. Focusing on Frame Data as a starting point is a recipe for failure and stagnation. If you’re worried about whether a move you just blocked is -12, but you can’t space, whiff punish, or know any of your key moves you’re learning backwards.
      Fundamentals such as spacing, optimal moves at certain ranges, optimal decision making, and optimal combos are leagues more important to learn in the beginning. Then frame data should be introduced slowly and steadily. I’ve seen all too often players stagnate themselves on topics such as frame data when their fundamentals are lacking. Thats why this video is soley based on fundamental moves and mindset.

      @@coachkazama8434 I've been with Tekken since TekkenZaibatsu days back in T5. Then combos and ususal set-ups and so on.
      Spacing and range are really advanced topics which most newcomers never get a grasp on. They wanna mash buttons and hit attacks. Even most intermediate players can't backdash or space properply and you want newbies to do that? Are you drunk? F U. Thumbs down. Your channel is blocked. You are wasting everybody's time and when someone is clearly giving you good advice your Dunnung-Kruger kicks in.

      @@coachkazama8434 Who's talking about focusing on framedata? I've been with Tekken since TekkenZaibatsu and contributed to tons of guides from T5 days and up until now. Any guide or synopsis basically should start with i10, i12, and i15 standing punishers, and then i10, i13, and i15 ws punishers.
      Then you talk about top 10 moves, and then the set-ups, combos and tips and tricks. Which moves wall-carries, and wallsplats and powercrushes, and then somethign about heat etc etc. This is a must have in any guide.
      Punishers has nothing to do with 'focusing on frames' but are some of the most fundamental moves of any charater. That's how you start playing Tekken at the most basic level. 'When you block someones moves it's your time to press buttons and these are guaranteed.' It is important for newcomers to just press buttons and hit attacks.
      You seem to not know what you're talking about. Proper spacing is a highly advanced topic, heck even most red ranks can't space and back dash properly and you're talking against your own point that learning punishers is too intermediate of a topic to be teaching newcomers, while it's totally the other way around. What good would it be to throw out any move willy-nilly if it's never gonna hit because opponent is blocking? Then they'll just punish your unsafe moves.
      Your channel is bad. I',m thumbing down your video and blocking your channel. You're wasting everybody's time and when someone clearly is giving you great advice, your' Dunning-Kruger comes out. Good bye!

    No guide will ever help me. I'm playing asuka for 10 years and i suck. There is no time to think about any of this during an actual match. Tekken is about talent. Everyone has their limit and i reached mine a Long timwe ago.

      It's ok. Lol. I suck too. Haven't played many Tekken games except 3 and a little of 7

      Maybe you aren’t using the right controller for you, have you tried all of your options? Hitbox, fightstick, keyboard, pad etc

      Play other chars and then come back to her. It always helped me. I played a lot Mishimas and Julia during t7, when I returned to Asuka, I was a better player.
      Because she doesn’t require a lot of movement (as it’s built into her moves) playing others helps you get quicker at her easier execution.

      If you’re a red rank or higher maybe you’ve peeked but if not you can learn from this. Don’t go into it thinking you’re about to use this 15 minute video worth of moves. Find what’s your weaknesses and practice that. Been playing Tekken since Tekken 2 and during 7 I made green rank and couldn’t beat anyone higher than my rank. I’ve put the time in practicing and learning new moves and combos and it’s got me to Shinryu and I’m close to Tenryu. You can do it with the right practice. I have trouble with low parries and if I clean that up I’m in purple rank.
