You're not disagreeing with me, Lucy--you're disagreeing with ASTROLOGY, LOL! There is a template with traits belonging to each Sun sign. I get comments like yours sometimes and I wonder why the person is even interested in astrology if they object to the characterizations. I wouldn't be surprised if you have Aquarius contrarian influences that are fueling this...;) And by the way, it is also matters what houses your planets are in. If you have those placements in the 12th house you might be like a nun and very non-materialistic.
I'm a Cancer sun with a Capricorn moon, but my sun is in the 12th house, along with Jupiter, mercury, gemini and chiron and my moon is in the sixth house . I've also zero interest in being wealthy, I've always wanted to be comfortable and have enough, but I always lacked ambition which is definitely not very capricorn moon like 😂My moon is also in sextile to pluto and I've a lot of pluto themes throughout my chart due to contact with personal planets and certain houses. My north node is also in the 8th along with ♒ so I don't know if these are reasons why I've no interest in money or the other energies in my chart simply cancel it out! I have mars and venus in the second so I literally spend as soon as I get money... Lol. Another point you mentioned about Scorpios being spiritual and capricorns being more earth bound, I was told recently by a friend of mine who also studies astrology and is a Reiki master that ♑ is one of the most spiritual signs and is linked with monks etc, I also had no idea of this, but I've always been drawn to the mystical side of life and I'm definitely very drawn to spirituality. Any Scorpio I've met seem to be very closed off to it. Scorpio moons seem to be the more spiritual out of all the Scorpio aspects. I've also attracted this moon sign throughout my life like a moth to a flame and the connection is always very instant and intense. I think our energies are very similar in that we both struggle to open up and trust, but somehow we can bring out that trust in each other and the walls fall. Capricorns are also very sexual behind all of that seriousness and Scorpios love sex and especially sensuality which is something capricorn can provide in abundance. I have found that Scorpios can be a lot needier for affection though and us capricorn moons need our space or we feel smothered. Capricorns are way deeper than people give us credit for though, anyone who knows me describe me as extremely deep and I'm very emotional too. I also noticed in a lot of famous couples that Scorpio moon and capricorn moon seem to come together a lot in union so I think this is a pretty solid match, but maybe it's stronger if the sun signs are also compatible or the sun moon compatibility is strong also. It probably helps that I have my sun in Cancer, but also the influence from the 12th house so this would be extremely compatible with Scorpio energy anyways. I'm also quite plutonian myself with pluto and Scorpio in my fifth, mars square pluto and moon pluto along with north node in 8th.
Are they all in the same house? 11th or 12th then you would have a sub-influence of either Aquarius or Pisces and that might explain it better. It's not so much conspicuous consumption with Capricorn. It's one's status in society. The 10th House is Cap-ruled and all about career and public reputation. Of course, nothing is 100% and there are factors like house placements and aspects that can modify these influences. 🙂
