This was one of my first hip hop albums along with SSLP. When they came out I was in elementary school. I was a kid but this album had the best beats I'd ever heard. The whole Dr. Dre 2001 album is exceptional work. Then I heard this guy's voice. I'm glad Dre signed Em because that's when I started finding all of his underground stuff and freestyles. Then there was the Elton & Eminem Grammy performance and the MTV music awards performance with The Real Slim Shady which was all absolutely iconic. Then 8 Mile came out and 50 took off. I'm glad I got to witness that time period. Reminiscing here I'm just excited to see what Dre and Eminem do next all these years later. I am liking Eminem's newer music (mtbmb and side b) and the Dre GTA songs are 🔥. I'm glad they're both still here and now patiently waiting for the one more platinum plaque.
