- The withdrawal of BlackRock's investment from Malaysia, if it happens, will have implications and negative impacts on efforts to realise the country's investment agenda, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz told the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (June 27).
BlackRock is a shareholder in various listed companies worldwide, including sovereign funds from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, and Indonesia.

Anybody who is against BlackRock's investment in Malaysia to the tune of RM27.5 billion, should put in that same amount of money to the relevant industries involved. This is especially for politicians who oppose the investment. Firstly, the politicians involved in opposing the investment are advised to use some critical thinking. I just said, 'some' as I know the opposing politicians would crack their heads, if they were to fully do critical thinking. I don't know, maybe they are not up to it, as most of their arguments and opposing statements are based on heresay, possibilities, slander and lies. And by the way, as not only providing the RM27.5 billion but a standby of twenty or thirty times more of the said amount. ( 'More' - is subject to country's needs and duration of sustenance) This is ensure that if BlackRock withdraws from investing in Malaysia, through the relevant industries, the market would not crash and most importantly, the rakyat would not be affected in any way. 😜
