Thank you❤️. You can resize each of the colored rectangles and put them in the swatches box. The space of all the rectangles next to each other should be approximately equal to the space you want to make it 3D. It does not have a special rule or a shortcut key. it’s just a process of trial and error.

You should update your illustrator to the most current version ( 26.3. 1) on the desktop and you can find '3D and Materials' in window.
