God I know! Most often I'm more impressed by the carpentry skills a lot of them OCR- athletes posses than their OCR skills. I'm ecsagurating of course but you get the idea😉
+Wotan Natow -- Do you mean `School`? What about the rest of us that have finished school?? I think exercising structures like the one in the video above should be build on Every Park or public space!!
Thanks for the great video! I'm a big guy (230+lbs) used to lifting heavy weights, but my grip was lagging behind, so I looked for some advice. Gotta tell you - these exercises are hell on earth when you are tall and heavy =D!!
I get to watch alot of tips this dude deserves a medal.....very few out there who can do both the knowing his stuff and do the explaination simply.....seriously will share these stuff more with our friends...do keep it up ....
I a, a competitive rock climber and I have been using grip strength exercises but I have never tried the towel idea. Thanks for making this video. I think your methods that I'll be adopting will help out a lot.
That weighted dead hang. Beast dude, i just got a "doorway" gym that's been helping my back and grip strength a lot. I'll for sure add in some of these techniques though!
Can you explain to us the progression you made into becoming such an awesome ninja? Like, what was day 1 like? 1 chinup? 10 second holds? What did you do from that point? Work out every day, every other day?
Man, I want this guy and his climbing playground in my neighborhood. I'd pay to workout there. Help defray the cost of the stuff. Help put stuff up. This is awesome. There should be a whole neighborhood of kids that are amazingly strong. Of course, in our litigious / monetary society. Some local gym would call whatever regulators and say they were worried about his gym. Not worried about kids safety - worried about their profits as people realize gym shmim, I'm working out with him.
these are all pretty advanced - could you do an intro to grip strength for beginners? I can dead hang for about 30 seconds but can't do any of the other movements you've included here. what are some easier things I can do to build up to these?
Chinups are a great one to build up the arm strength (dead hangs too). Dumbbell holds (just holding a heavy dumbbell as long as you can) is another great one, allows you to start as light as you need and work your way up. Could also try climbing anything nearby (be it a tree or wall) to build up the functional strength). If you have a rock climbin facility nearby that's also very helpful.
Actually if you wanted strength training for grip, endurant hold is not great for it. Add weight to your body and hold/hang around 8s-10s max, do not go to failure. When repeat after 2 min rest or more, add more weight then do it. Never grip hold until your grip fails, stay fresh and rest long is the protocol for strength grip training. I save time by doing something else in between sets. You want to be able to hang with at least double your body weight toal. For me that would be 310 lb total more or less. Currently I got to 275. Ball grips hanging is tougher than stair steps or bar hanging. I expect to reach 310 total in 30 day or less. Good luck
If by functional strength you mean strength you can use in everyday activities then literally any exercise builds that, if you can deadlift 3x your bodyweight you're not gonna have a problem lifting a fridge
Nice stuff! Only downside with the wrist roller is yout form. Your shoulder will get fatigue before your arm. Better way to do it is in a 90 degree position with your arms or just let them hang and roll. Its not a shoulder exercise!
Good vid ta! I'm 122kg lump but doing ok with my training.. I used captains of crush grippers and I found those really helped my grip strength and has allowed me to hold on and build back strength at a point where my grip may have gone long before. Subd 😁
That's a great video, good tips but I'm wondering, my grip strength in my left hand / wrist isn't strong enough to hang one handed with that, what can you do to start off and build up to the proper hangs?
Hi ! My weight is 85kg normal body structure. I tried to do pull ups. But I can't do even single pull up too. How can I do more pull ups? For that what exercise I want to do? Pls help me. Thanks in advance.
How frequently can you train grip like this? How much recovery do you need? Also are you training for climbing or just training for the sake of getting strong?
Great info. I’m looking to increase my dead hang time. Would you recommend doing multiple sets to failure, daily? If not, type of frequency and intensity would you recommend? Thanks.
Dude, you should make a video about how you build such an awesome place to workout
Yeahh......I too felt the same
God I know! Most often I'm more impressed by the carpentry skills a lot of them OCR- athletes posses than their OCR skills. I'm ecsagurating of course but you get the idea😉
such a thing should be built at every shool !
Wotan Natow no shit right.. put all the phones and pads down for a while
+Wotan Natow -- Do you mean `School`?

absolutly sir !
100 % agree with you
Wotan Natow yes exactly!
I love this! "Man, whats this little guy got to say about being strong?" -a few minutes later- "Damn this guy is strong!"
Thanks for the great video! I'm a big guy (230+lbs) used to lifting heavy weights, but my grip was lagging behind, so I looked for some advice. Gotta tell you - these exercises are hell on earth when you are tall and heavy =D!!

Probably the best video on this topic I've ever seen!
Thank you!
For me I started hang from rings and could actualy start swinging from start to finnish in two days.
So I agree hanging from rings/ledge is best.
Looks great exercises!! Just have to find such a great place for work out as well. 😀

Good tips. But one thing to note. When doing this things, ensure your shoulders are engaged. It's proper form. And helps save your body from injury.
Its called: functional strength
If by functional strength you mean strength you can use in everyday activities then literally any exercise builds that, if you can deadlift 3x your bodyweight you're not gonna have a problem lifting a fridge
@@drioustb9182 lifting should not be a problem, sure.. Carrying it around, maybe.
