While you were torching, it looked like the spaceship from the movie with Richard Dreyfus. Maybe Close Encounters? Which I found beautiful. The final is amazing. It does take strength and patience to do this painting.

This pour is just amazing. Cells like that with no silicone, and the colors. ALL the colors in the cells are amazing...….they look iridescent, yet have such a mixture of all the colors. Another pour prettier than the one before it and this one is going to be hard to follow.

Your results are fantastic! I love the idea of getting cells without using silicone. I'll have to try this out. It take it that using a thinner paint lets the cells form more easily than in the thicker paint you usually use for a ring pour.

Even though there's no silicone to form cells by torching, it seems like the heat should still act as a catalyst to speed up the chemical reactions that cause these cells, no? It is a lovely effect, and thanks for explaining it so well.
