Haha But..... Nobody bigged up the raving massive and gave you energy like skibba. My son will gutted to hear this too. R.I.P.

In my opinion SKI is now, and has always been the No1 dnb MC! I know there’s more lyrical MC’s but skiba is just pure energy

@Kevin Gedge I'd say totally the opposite.....he doesn't really get recognition from the younger crowd it's more the old skool dnb heads that like him
skibba is an og and is still right up there in the top 5 but...eksman is on another level in 2019/20. i grew up hyper skibba shabba fearless ic3 fatman foxy riddla det mcmc moose 5-0 fatz presha trigga bassman etc then eksman came in. then shotta and azza grima. one mc that should have been big was flyte... but he was a twat and never turned up for bookings or was tryin to be a roadman. Had the best flow and energy at all the room 2 raves and radio sets... he just didnt commit. The best 5 mcs (in prime and based on career/impact) GOATs... in my humble oppinion from 1995-2020........ 1-Eksman 2-skibba 3-Hyper D 4- shaba 5-azza. Fearless deserves and mention too.

lphonso started on "City sound radio" in 1993 featuring on the "Live and direct" show, with djs Pro-D and Cyrus, and by early 1995 he regularly featured at jungle music events such as "Thunder and joy" and "Spirit of the jungle", as well as his regular spot on radio, by the end of 1995, he was resident for the London pirate radio station "Kool FM", and regularly featured at events such as Jungle Fever, "New jack city" and "Innersense", along with MC Det of Kool FM, he launched a new project called "2Xfreestyle" in late 1997, which involved putting a d&b tempo over a hip-hop beat, therefore creating a "double time" effect, he would often perform this style with its innovator Stephen Austin aka Stevie Hyper D. (22 !!, d. 1998), in 1999, skibadee received the first of three the "knowledge awards" for best mc, and three "accelerated culture awards", since 2000, he began collaborating with MC Shabba D (also known as Shabba, "no gunz", guest at "Shotta tv" etc.) which became the partnership commonly known as ""S.A.S."" and became synonymous with the raves "Telepathy" and "One nation", in 2003, he provided the vocals for Karl Francis aka Dillinjas (46) uk chart-breaking "Twist em out", in 2006, he won the "1Xtra" award for best mc and in 2007 he won best "mc southwest d&b award", in 2008 and 2009, Skibadee won best "lyrical mc" and best "hype mc" in the "national d&b awards" and 2010 is the third year in a row as the "best crowd hyper mc" as well as the "Stevie Hyper D lifetime achievement award", in 2010, skibadee won best mc at the "d&b arena awards" etc. !
