One Andy Raynor. There’s only one Andy Raynor. Get in mate. Thoroughly deserved and mundanely predictable. 😂. Never in doubt. Fantastic run and great execution. Absolutely love seeing you smash it. How many eggs did you hatch? 😉🤣. See you soon for a debrief.
Congratulations - great time. 💪🏻 I also ran a new PB yesterday. 2:59:37 so i broke 3h for the first time. 🎉 You're an inspiration, keep up the good work.
Few minutes in and course it struck me that you did the majority of this pretty much solo! Makes it all the more impressive. That tactic of easing in over the first three miles is clearly a winner for you 🎉
Rock and Roll Andy! I couldn't be happier for you! You attacked every workout and took those easy days easy - you trained SMART! And wow did it pay off! True inspiration for all of us pushing our limits! I can't wait for the details! Keep pushing my friend!
Amazing result so pleased you got the time you set out to achieve ! I have followed your training block very interested and inspiring and some brilliant tips I took on board and helped me through my race at Newport . 10:04 Best wishes Joanna
Hehe Andy, what a day, what a race, what a big relief to finally, finally run a marathon like it is supposed to be done.....this has been the single most important step in learning the art of marathoning. In every marathon to come you can remember this run and fuel from it. Now it is time to recover, choose the right course for the autumn and continue the journey congratulations for a huge race...i did not know, that the course was that lonely with running alone making it a lot harder to succeed.....i am so happy for you
Well done Andy. As you say, great to execute exactly what you wanted to do and for that to give such a big PB and indeed blow away a few demons at the event. It did strike me in the footage how lonely a race that was you. Hopefully next time you can get in a big city race and benefit from more runners around you. But huge positives to take forwards.
Just catching up on my You Tube favourites after being away. Loved seeing you execute this race so perfectly!! Huge congratulations Andy! Well deserved 🎉🎉
Such a brilliant result for a brilliant fella. Well done. Love seeing how elated you are with the result. Well done on putting all that hard work to use
Amazing work Andy! I saw your time on the app right after finishing it myself and knew you would do well, but blimey! Mine didn't go as good 😂. I always aim for a sub 4 in any marathon I do and last year at Newport I did it easily enough but yesterday I struggled and despite feeling better at the bridge, I did 4.03 and was quite gutted to be just outside my target. Something went wrong for me though and I don't know what, but I found it so hard going after a great first 16 miles where i was sensible and comfortably on pace, fuelling right and feeling good etc, not to mention enjoying the superb weather for it! No excuses - just wasn't my day I think! I am SO happy for you though - watching your training blocks here says to me you absolutely deserve your glory and the joy you show in this vlog. Brilliant stuff!
Fantastic, Andy, very well done. Now, I did very similar splits during my half marathon in Canberra yesterday. However, my splits were for kilometres and not miles! 😂😂😂 I think you’re a bit quicker than me! Proud of you, mate. You did yourself, your coach and your training proud!
Great run Andy Thank you for taking the time to speak to me before the race and taking a photo together. Not only are you a brilliant runner you sir are a true gentleman.
Awesome Andy. Great to see you happy with the whole race. Keeping your powder dry and heartrate down at the beginning then negative splitting the 2nd 10 mile block. (Something I need to remember for London on Sunday). I am looking forward to the in-depth review and how you felt the fueling went, especially those last few miles. Coach Will will be putting plenty more "beast mode" sessions in for your next block! 😅 Congratulations on a great time, the reward for all your hard work.
So well deserved Andy!! Such a good block with massive effort and a reward to show for it! Feet up with all the food, you've earned it! Thanks again for sharing, I've enjoyed watching all of your blocks over the past few years but this has been a cracker! 🎉
Was great to chat and run the first load of miles with you before you dropped the hammer! Always nice to see another runner my size ripping it up! Good clip of us on the bridge dwarfing everyone else🤣 But absolute kudos mate you're going from strength to strength can't wait to see what's in store next
Well done Andy. I ran the 10km and the conditions really were ideal. Glad to hear you made the best of your shape and your impressive build up. Can't imagine it was that easy on those quiet roads on your own before coming back into town.
Wow. What a race. So pleased you got the time you worked so hard for. I'm thinking about doing Newport next year, I did Manchester on Sunday, my first marathon and I loved it
Fantastic Andy! It's incredible to have seen where you came from and your struggles with marathons to this video where you just blasted it like it was nothing.
That's an amazing race. It looks like everything you hoped it would be. Unfortunately my marathon was pretty much the opposite. Thought my training was great better than in past ones. Slept good. Felt great at the start but just blew up 1/2 way. The only thing I could think was we had an unusual warm day it ended up at 80 plus degrees by the end. I live in Ohio in the states that's a big shock but I thought I would be fine. I'm really disappointed but happy you got your goal !
Brilliant - I am super glad that you have been able to take nutrition and water (and along with the training) it’s made a big difference - very well done
Couldn't be happier for you Andy! Totally smashed it with your 6:05/mi pacing. Many congrats to both you and your coach for such an amazing finish. 👏 👍🏆
Great result Andy as always thank you for sharing your journey, training as a solo runner myself it is a huge inspiration to see hard work pays off. one again congratulations I look forward to seeing where your next training block takes you
Superb Andy! Raynor! Raynor! Raynor! The hard part is the training blocks and you've been nailing them for a long time, so it's no surprise that a marathon day has finally gone your way. Many more to come. Great time and any pressure is off!
That's a great stepping board to what you are truly capable of Andy. Your 10k time equates to at least mid 2:30's. I think Berlin this year should be your target to carry forward this exceptional training block. You were pushing Mr Welsh Runner to his max on your workouts together so you can't be 10 minutes behind Matt's pb . 🎉
Well done mate you smashed it. And you have managed to sort your fueling problems out and run the race so well. Coach has helped you massive, and i look forward to you smashing more of your training to help achieve even bigger goals you set yourself. Enjoy your week's rest, mate. 👍🏿💪🏿👏🏿
2:40:44! That's Dope! Mile 23 2:55 min/km.Thats Epic! Watching the Boston Marathon right now, and that time gets you in. Love to see you there! Congradulations! Woot! Woot! 👏👏👏
I responded to your Strava as well. This is a fantastic result Andy, kudos to your massive training block and hard work. You managed to avoid major injury despite all that load. Congratulations to your PB. You deserved it! 👏👏👏

Didnt take my phone with me for this one, I reckon it would of bee 5 or 6 haha! Thank you so much buddy
Amazing well done. Manchester was my 9th this weekend and also the first one I’ve ran “well”. Great to see when the training pays off
Congratulations - great time. 💪🏻
